I had a problem with squirrels getting into my attic. I had Hawkeye come look at the problem first because of their positive reviews on Angies List. After comparing prices from several companies, I wonder how many of those reviewers got competitive price estimates or if they just had Hawkeye do the work because of their good Angies List ratings? Of all the companies I got prices from Hawkeye was the only one that wasn’t in the same ball park. I ended up picking a company that wasn’t the absolute cheapest of everyone I spoke with, but I trusted the company. The company I picked charged under $ 600 compared to Hawkeye’s proposal of $ 1300. Hawkeye charges $ 75 to seal a roof gap plus another $ 75 if that gap is on a second story roof. Other companies I spoke with charged from $ 25 to $ 40 per roof gap and do not charge for second stories. $ 40 vs $ 150 is a huge difference when you’ve got a number of gaps to seal! I cannot speak for the quality of Hawkeye’s work, but based on their pricing I cannot recommend them at all.
