IHOP

Unprofessional waitress’s and food was not hot or the same portions as other i hops in the area. The waitress’s spill their drama to any customer that will listen. Talking about how they might look like white girl but let the wrong one come at her. Lol these girl need some emergency training on appropriate work etiquette.

Late night, needed a bite to eat before going home and after seeing The Hunger, so we stopped. The rain and the cold made the night miserable and the homeless man on the inside reeked of urine, but what can you do? He needed safe harbor too.
Shawna, our waitress was exceedingly helpful, We ordered our food as we talked. and talked. and had our food. An omlette for him and red velvet pancakes for me. All was well done and tasty. And shawna made sure I got the extra whipped cream for my cakes. She deserved the extra tip I left.

Started a little bit shaky, but a very pleasant breakfast it turned into. We waited for our server who came in a huff and puff but handle our order perfectly. Place was busy and constantly streaming customer.
Food arrived hot and exactly what we order… shore stack. One of life true joy. until the next time!

I have to commend the manager and staff for quick and friendly problem-​solving. It’s a busy Sunday morning as I walk in with a few pancake-​craving members of my 30-​person post-​wedding group. Yeah, 30 of us. Don’t ask, I’m still wondering what we were thinking. No reservations. Just a bunch of happy, hungry family all wanting to hang out one last time before we part. The manager Krystal was able to fulfill my extremely last-​minute request to use the party room. Luckily, she was able to redirect and assign two staff members to us while the rest of my party arrived. (Sorry to those in the regular tables with two less waitresses — we truly appreciated it.). We were waited on by Kathy and another lovely staff member, and they kept our mugs filled, orders flowing and we ate happily. We also made it back to the hotel to catch our flights in good time. This was all possible by the accommodating staff and we thank you all for making our impromptu family reunion happen.

This place worried me because it was sooo busy. Ordered an egg white omelet with no cheese. I expected it to be oily and flavorless. When i got it ot wasn’t oily and it had good seasoning. Kudos to whoever made that omelet… It was tasty.

My friends and I came for one thing and 1 thing only.
(Drum rolls please) SHORT STACK pancakes. To honor their 57^th anniversary, IHOP’s giving away their short stack for 57 cents. Nothing too grand about these pancakes, they’re ok. I had them with old fashioned syrup. Wish I was bit more adventurous and tried one of the other flavors lol. Do I recommend them pancakes? Not really, very basic recipe. Wish I went for the chocolate chip one, them looked yummy.
Our waitress was really sweet though.

First visit to this location. Service was horrible. She didn’t put our appetizer order in then lied about it. Our drinks were empty for a long time. My daughter had to ask 3 times for a glass of water. most of the employees looked like they were in slow motion. Not the friendliest staff.

This ihop offered me the absolute worst service i have ever received on my trip to tampa. We ordered food the waiter read it back to us to ensure the order was correct (at that point it was). Then when our food arrived at our table it was completely wrong. I had asked for tomatoes in my omelet and it was prepared with out any tomatoes and my hash browns were cold and then when i sent it back due to the error all the kitchen did was slap (literally slap) some cold tomatoes on my what was supposed to be a hot omelet. We also ordered another omelet and the waitress put ham in stead of the requested sausage. And brought that back to the table incorrectly TWICE. When we finally decided that enough was enough we stated that we were leaving. Then comes this so called «manager/​supervisor» asking what the problem was. When we said what our gripes were with the establishment, he acted like a moron. (stating tomatoes are supposed to be cold) [no doofus, tomatoes on an omelet are to be prepared inside of the omelet unless otherwise stated] If i could rate this place zero stars i would but unfortunately a 1 star was the least i could rate this poor excuse of service received from staff and management.

–Table wasn’t wiped fully clean
–Waitress forgot napkins and silverware
–Told me getting a custom omelette (spinach, onions, bacon) would be around $ 12
–Wouldn’t even substitute one ingredient from one of their regular omelettes
–Couldn’t even order one of the regular omelettes and then add an ingredient

–Gross, but the munchies were too strong to not eat
–Pickle had some white cream on one of the ends

We stayed at the La Quinta next door before and after our cruise in February of this year. Great food, Fantastic wait staff! Was wonderful to have it close enough to walk to as we were without a personal vehicle. Good prices, large portions. Place was clean and friendly.

I have been to this IHOP many times, server does not ask about needs (coffee, drinks) food severed was cold. Very poor for this location.
Also I witnessed a kitchen worker using the bath room and NOT washing his hands as he left. I pray that this is not the new standard for this location.

Only place open for Breakfast in the area on Christmas Day. Was crowed but wait was only 20 min to be seated. I think what I was upset about was the fact our food took so long. Our waitress was MIA from time to time. Come to find out she was in another section and then had us in another. So we were the forgotten party. After waiting 45 min for food it finally came out. Thank god it was hot. I was about to blow a gasket. I know a busy day but still. Service is Service..

Stopped by with my mom and this place was pretty busy, and so was the parking. They took long to seat and then attend us, we even got a different waitress than the original one that attended us– but our new waitress Hope was attentive. We went to the bathroom and it really could have used aome maintenance but they were pretty busy so.
I had the veggie omelet with hash brown and My mom had the 55+ menu option with 2 eggs, 1 pancake, hash brown. We devoured it all because it was soo good. I love breakfast but i don’t think i’ll be returning to ihop during prime time.

Typical American Diner with typical American diner food. The manager is amazing. Service with a smile. Our waitress Julia went above and beyond with her service. Felt like we were at her place instead of the restaurant. The island breeze is a must! Keep up the good work Ihop.

Had the country omlette with pancakes. Very good! Everyone else food was good as well. Our server James was great too. Anticipated anything we needed and was polite as well.
Will definitely be back here next time we’re in town.

2^nd time here.
4:25 pm on Sunday August 10^th, 2014. Total of only 4 tables (8 customers) in the entire restaurant.
3 different waitress’ (saw Christine and Lorraine’s name tags) have walked by without saying a word or acknowledging us.
TEN MINUTES AND COUNTING WITH NO ONE SERVING US OR EVEN SPEAKING TO US!!!
I highly recommend people AVOID THIS IHOP on a Sunday afternoon.

Stopped in here at midnight on a Thursday night for a late dinner. Out of all the 4 – 5 IHOPs I have been to in my life, this is by far the largest and cleanest (is cleanest a word? Looks funny) one I’ve visited. It’s large inside with separate seating areas on the left and right upon walking in. Service was great. I ordered basic breakfast — eggs with hashbrowns, side of pancakes (strawberry with a cream filling). The bf had a country fried steak, gravy, mashed potatoes, and a side salad. He said the gravy was excellent which I was surprised to hear. All good and decent eats for a 24 – 7 restaurant. The food came out quickly and we were finished within an hour.

We are still unsure exactly what happened, but all we know is that the service last night was bizarre:
— Sunday night, so it was very quiet, with 4 – 5 server ladies around, but we had to wait both to be seated and to pay, like we have never had to wait anywhere, ever.
— The lady who served us first introduced herself as our server, then when I mentioned I had a coupon to use, she said she was not our server!!!
— All the server ladies looked sleepy.
Colorado Omelet with pancakes was still good though, but that was just bizarre.

I don’t normally review chains, but this IHOP is the cleanest I’ve ever seen, along with great late night service. Coming from Miami, we were surprised to see little open at 11PM for dinner, so IHOP it was.
Great late night option in Tampa.
