Le Macaron French Pastries

Had no idea what a macaron was so decided to find out. We were warmly greeted by the operations manager who stopped what she was doing to explain that these delectable morsels of goodness are gluten free and have no artificial preservatives.
They are a common dessert in France. They are actually made in Sarasota and come in a variety of flavors.
She kindly allowed us to sample one and it was heaven! Crispy on the outside and creamy goodness inside. Tried to make it back as we were headed to Maggianos for a seminar but it ran late so they were closed.
Found out they have a location at citrus park mall conveniently located very close to home! Call me happy!

My wife and I decided to stop in here on our way to a business function at Maggiano’s and didn’t know what to expect. We were both very surprised and quite impressed with the store. They allowed us to try one of the macarons and it was fantastic, I’d never tried on before and it was delicious.
We had planned on stopping in after our event, but had already closed. We will definitely let everyone else know about it, which we did while at the business event, and we will be back to purchase some of their products.

I am so in love with macarons and I daydream about them constantly. When I am in the Westshore Mall area, this is my go to location when I am craving them.
I love the location of this store because if you beat the lunch or dinner rush, you are able to park somewhat closely and get in and get out.
These little nuggets are pure heaven in your mouth. Nothing but shock and awe will come across you, once you taste one. My favorites are the Salted Caramel, Lavender, and the Raspberry.

Went in the afternoon so it was very quiet… in the corner of the mall by maggianos. Got 2 macarons. german chocolate and white something for the other one. The guy working the counter said they were both the most popular ones. Yes it is pricey about $ 4 plus for both… but were they amazing! Tasty all around and wasnt hard, tasted very fresh.
Will def need to find more macaron stores!

I wasn’t surprised when I saw Le Macaron had opened a store at Westshore Plaza. Despite the hefty price tag the macarons are such a hit at International Plaza. According to their website, a Le Macaron will be opening in Citrus Park Mall soon as well.
Le Macaron is located at Westshore Plaza Mall between PFG Chang’s and Maggiano’s, in the former Pinkberry location. The store imports all of their macarons directly from France (hence the hefty price tag of $ 2 per cookie) and come in a variety of flavors: Belgian Chocolate, Basil White Chocolate, Black Currant, Candied Ginger Chocolate, Rose, Walnut, Columbian Coffee, Ginger Bread, Gianduja and Hazelnut Cream, Coconut, Passion Fruit Dark Chocolate, Pistachio, Caramel, Licorice, Lemon Cream, Raspberry, Madagascar Black Vanilla, and Key Lime Strawberry.
The Madagascar Black Vanilla and Salted Caramel macaroons are two of my favorite flavors. The Gingerbread macaron reminds me more of root beer than gingerbread, but it is tasty either way. While I despise spending $ 2 on a tiny cookie these really are the best macarons that you will find outside of Paris.

Wow! The macaroons here are delicious!
OK, they are a little expensive. But the difference between what you get here and what you buy at grocery store is a mile apart. Seriously, these things are amazing!
