Magnolia

Jeff is a true talent for the city of Tampa and we are lucky to have a place like Magnolia that has incredible furniture and impeccable design taste. My wife and I have outfitted several rooms with things from Magnolia and are always inspired when we visit the store.

We’re from Dallas where there are lots of great stores and we found the customer service and selections to be divine! We were sad to be restricted by the size of our suitcases!

You can tell when the economy has recovered as the pretentious little boutique stores used to catering to their favorite rich people are no longer being nice to anyone who walks in their store. The recent & some argue, current economic issues in the US caused basically all business owners to be respectful to anyone prospect who might buy even the smallest of items. A humbling experience for many but as the economy recovers, sadly the high attitude, and again pretentious boutique owners has reverted back to their old ways. My wife & I had seen the 60 Minutes coverage about the American made Furniture company, Mitchell Gold + Bill Williams. We needed new furniture and to be supportive, we stopped by magnolia since they are the local representative. We live in South Tampa, nice place, nice cars… dressed nicely too. We told them what we were interested in as we were redesigning out entire Condo. Well, you would think someone would call back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called again, explaining what we were after & providing our contact info. Guess what… a year later an no one has called to schedule the intro meeting. Sadly Mitchell Gold + Bill Williams may be great furniture but they have chosen deeply arrogant people to represent them in Tampa.

If you want to meet with and work with a great designer who is genuinely nice to deal with — head to Carol at Thomasville on South Dale Mabry. Great eye for color, style, design and appears to treat anyone coming in the store with a professional manner. The folks at magnolia could learn…
