I really enjoy going to McDivots for various occasions. There’s the«adult area» at the bar, where great conversations always occur. However, the rest of the restaurant is very family friendly. My daughter always runs around, plays games, and uses these little vending machines with toys. The staff is always very friendly and I can’t wait to see all the upcoming changes to make this warm atmosphere and even better place to eat, hang out, and have a good drink.

Love this place! Great place for families to come and have a great meal any time or day of the week. All the servers are great and really get to know you the more you come in. If you haven’t tried the wings you are missing out. The atmosphere is older but they are renovating soon and I can’t wait to see all the new upgrades! Everyone should check it out before and after the big change to see the big difference.

The staff there is amazing! They get to know each and everyone of their customers! I feel like family when I walk in! The food is good but the atmosphere is what I like the best

I always enjoy their wings. One of the best place where you can grab wing around this place. Been coming to this place for wing after our dance rehearsal. They have there ups and down especially with servers but most of the time the servers are good. Wings are crispy, tasty and juicy and just writing this review makes me crave for some of there wings. And the prices were not that bad.

Food wasn’t very good. It’s hard to mess up a burger and tacos but it happened. Waitress was a sweetheart but not very attentive. The bartender was obnoxious and you could hear him cursing across the room. Supposedly the wings are good but definitely not going back to try them. For a bar in Westchase their beer selection was not very good. When you see Bud select without a college near by I should had known not to stay.

I’ve been here a couple of times because the wings are good and I like the garlic wing options. Anything else I’ve tried here has been nothing special. The restaurant itself could use some very much needed renovations and deep cleaning. Everything just looks dingy. I only go for the wings and prefer to just take them to go.

Wings are great. I can’t find a better wing place in Westchase. Aesthetic Upgrades are long overdue. Another recommendation is to expand the beer menu and to trim the long winded entrée and appetizer portion of the menu. Tampa bay brewing company is down the street but their beer is nowhere to be found on the menu.

If you like wings and a cold beer in a friendly atmosphere then go to McDivots in Tampa. These guys are a delight. The service is quick, pleasant and attentive. The menu offers more than just the usual trappings, including a great salad. The wings are some of the best I have ever had — and of course the sauce choices are numerous. The prices are very fair. I have been several times and would not hesitate to return when back in Tampa. Great value.

Wings are fantastic, but there’s a new technology out there called HDTV? They need to get the rabbit ears off the TVs and move into the 2000s if they want sports fans to come here on game day… I would have given 3 or 4 stars but the game watching experience was awful.

I had to downgrade to 2 stars instead of 3. Went there again this weekend to have wings and beer during the football games and I was quite disappointed. I ordered the boneless wings and it took forever to come to the table and when they came, they looked like breaded chicken nuggets with a little bit of buffalo sauce — it tasted ok but I wouldn’t order it again. Not sure why they claim to be the best wings in the area, you might get better wings at Domino’s or Pizza Hut, no kidding! Then, we ordered a shrimp po-boy and I was disappointed again, it was just deep fried shrimp on a roll with some shredded lettuce and tomato — my wife had a bite of it and didn’t want anymore. As far as the place goes, their TV’s are old and they do need to work on cleaning the tables, floor and chairs… I see many reviews about that and I have to agree with them. Anyhow, if you want to grab a beer at the bar and have something quick to eat, this place might be ok, aside from that, I wouldn’t recommend.

Met some friends at McDivots to watch Sunday football. It’s a great hole-in-the-wall bar with all of your sports bar staples. Apparently on Sunday, from 12 noon to 1 pm, you get all-you-can-drink beer at the bar… Which I missed because I arrived too late! I will for sure come back to partake next time! The staff is very friendly and will keep your glass full. Sometimes they won’t come around for a while, but if you wave for their attention, they will attend to you right away. There are a dozen television sets around the bar and the restaurant. They aren’t the biggest size and they’re high up, closer to the ceiling, so you better have good eye sight if you want to catch your game. We started with a dozen raw oysters for the table to share. They are listed at market price, but we paid about $ 14 at the time. They oysters were HUGE! Very fresh and worth the price. My boyfriend and I shared a special on the dry erase board: 10 tacos + chips and salsa for $ 15. You can choose crunchy or soft taco shells, your meat filling(chicken, beef… there were others but I don’t remember) and it comes topped with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, pico de gallo, and sour cream. You can also split your tacos between fillings, which is what we ordered: half beef and half chicken. Now tacos don’t sound very exciting, but they were absolutely delicious! They had a char flavor to it and the shells were crunchy with every bite. It was filling bar food that wasn’t heavy on the tummy. It’s not the largest bar, but they can accommodate for large parties. It’s clean inside with a laid back atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back for that beer special!

Must admit this review is limited to the selection of wine and some homemade boneless chicken wings. For a beer bar at least they carry Beringer brand for their wines which is better than most bars! The homemade wings are delicious and thankfully Sam told me about the heat of the sauce, so I got it on the side. Which was a smart move since it was tasty but spicy! Atmosphere is clean and simple, plenty of TV monitors and the noise level is low. Staff is very accommodating and polite. Fits in well for westchase.

My only regret is that I waited so long to try this place. We picked up a big order of spicy garlic wings and some curly fries this weekend and the wings were off the chain. I didn’t have the fries but my husband said they were pretty good. The wings were definitely some of the best, if not *the* best wings I’ve had in Tampa. They were even good the next day reheated. We dropped by in person to make a takeout order and had our order taken right away, and the food came out very quickly. Waitresses were. I look forward to eating there next time, the place has a nice laid back feel.

Hands down the BEST and biggest wings in Westchase ! When ever me and the misses are having chicken wing cravings, this is the spot we go to. Get them Garlic teriyaki style, so much flavor and bone lickin good ! With all the flat screens & wooden chairs, its kind of like a more family orientated hooters«light», less the scantily clad waitresses of course. and the best part … During NFL sundays from 12−1pm they serve free(WAIT did you say FREE???) budweiser selects to get you in before the game! I don’t know about you but in 1 hour I can do alot of damage! HOWTHEHECKCANYOUNOTBEATTHAT !

I stopped into McDivots for two main reasons, 1. they were close to work and 2. I wanted wings. Nary a soul was there, the 4 people in attendance were all at the bar, so I did the same. I sat at one of the many chairs and was promptly handed a menu, and then a 2nd menu for the Happy Hour options. The service was very quick, there were maybe 20 tv’s in the place, all seeming to be tuned to a different station with some annoying sports program. I suppose I can’t get upset by that, it is a sports bar, after all. After perusing both menus, I opted for the Fried Pickles and the ¼ pound chili dog sans onions. The fried pickles were wonderful, quite deliciously tart and tangy, the sauce was interesting, but the ranch dressing I ordered on the side was yum. The chilli dog cane on a huge roll smothered with chili and cheese and a side of what appeared to be home made chips. The dog its self was good, the chilli was mediocre at best, a bit on the sweet side, but certainly home made. The chips though. they were stale. I ate one and didn’t bother to have another. The Barkeep never let my diet coke go empty, and when I asked for it to go, she did so very quickly. I made a pit stop in the restroom to find their toilet just running, the float had gone bad, it was a simple, quick fix, so I took care of that for them. I would come back to try their wings… maybe.

I am not usually wanting to post a bad review for a restaurant until I have sampled multiple items on the menu, but McDivots really was a especially bad experience. First off, Mcdivots is a bad copy of Hooters. Close your eyes and envision yourself at hooters, then imagine all of the televisions are 15 years old and have horrible picture quality, then picture it not being properly cleaned in the same 15 years… POOF!, your at McDivots! The wings are McDivots specialty… on the menu they are listed as «Jumbo» wings. Ah, nope… these are just again, a bad version of good wings. Attached are real photos taken from my visit. You can decide if you want to eat at McDivots…

3 stars for the wings and 1 added for service, which is always great. These are the best wings I’ve had in Tampa and the 2nd best wings I’ve ever had. They charge for dressing for the wings which we always kinda wonder why but the blue cheese is obviously made here and it’s freaking delicious so we won’t stop ordering it. My husband and I love coming here to watch the football games, kinda feels like you’re chilling in grandpa’s den. I would rate this place 5 stars if they updated a few of the TVs, took out the video game and prize grabbing machines and added a pool table… and added a few more dark beers to the beer list. Then grandpa’s den would really kick ass! Currently Guiness is the only stout carried. The owner is awesome — super friendly and so are the girls who work here. We are regulars and don’t plan on changing that anytime soon.

Ate here for lunch and had a pretty tasty meal. This place is nothing fancy, that’s for sure. But if you know what you’re getting yourself into, I think it’s fairly reasonable. It’s kind of a good place to go when you don’t worry about being messy or loud. Don’t take anybody here to impress them or to find some sort of foodie experience. If you just want a local mom-and-pop this is a good option. I had the white fish sandwich and was very pleased with the overall taste, the flavor was pleasant but not overtly strong. Best of all it was not fishy and seemed quite fresh. It was a tad on the greasy side but this place kind of reminds me of the pub version of a greasy spoon restaurant. That’s not bad as long as you’re okay with that type of thing.
