Ummm this is why we never leave it to Brittany to plan trips. This is exactly why my husband plans just about everything. Three words. OHMYGOSH. Let me start off by saying don’t let the fact that this motel is by a BMW, Audi, and Porsche dealership fool you. This is the king of crack motels. I’m sorry, but it’s true. First of all, I’m pretty sure there is illegal activity taking place in this motel. At first I just thought it was just a little worn out, but that thought immediately went out the window when I saw a woman walk right out of her room and start walking up and down the streets at 2 in the morning. As if that doesn’t say enough there is a cop patrolling the parking lot the entire night. Now I don’t know if you would consider this is a good or a bad thing but I’m going to go with bad. Now let’s talk about the room. Again, OH. MY. GOSH. Upon walking in. What’s that smell? Mold mold mold. The bed terrified me. Not only were there cigarette burns in the sheets, but there was hair all over the bed and stains on the pillow I’m supposed to lay my FACE on. The TV didn’t help either. It was a 19″ staticky box that was barely audible. I can’t say there was one thing that would have made me stay one more minute in that place. I honestly don’t even know how they are still around. After bawling to my husband at 2am because I was so upset about the choice I made(and even more upset that I took someone’s word and didn’t check Unilocal first… What was I thinking?!) We packed up our stuff and hit the road Jack. And we most definitely won’t EVER be back. I couldn’t be too mad because you get what you pay for, right? I was refunded my money on my card and was told it would be credited to my account within 3 – 4 days. It was. We ended up at the Days Inn right across from Busch Gardens. $ 40 more a night, but much cleaner and I was much happier.

Disgusting! Agree with other posters. I stayed once in May or June, 2012. Told myself, «Never again.» But, was back in Tampa in July, 2013 and needed someplace quick. Thought it would be fine — you know, another year passed things could be different. They weren’t. Could feel the springs in the mattress… guessing it has to be more than 10 years old. Carpet is so disgusting I wouldn’t walk on it without shoes. Hairs — not belonging to me — in the towels and sheets. Cable kept going out and front desk said only the maintenance man could fix it and of course he wasn’t there. Went to use the microwave in the«lobby.» It was filthy and ants were swarming around its door. I twice requested a different room(A/C not working in one of the rooms), but still gross. Staff could care less… I paid $ 44.79. For $ 10 more I probably could have stayed somewhere without fearing disease. Best to avoid, I think.

What a pit. The non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. There’s a ketchup packet in the air conditioning vent. There’s a huge rip in the bedspread. There’s a hole in the pillowcase. And the box spring’s all torn up. Motel 6, you’ve lost a customer.

I’m giving this establishment a big negative my friends. My bf and I tried to book a trip to Howl-O-Scream on a budget, and this was the LAST place we should have cut corners on. Good price? Heck yeah!($ 30) But, they say you get what you pay for… And did we ever! Filthy carpets, smarmy people swarming outside, the bathroom was gross, teeny ants were crawling all over the sink… And my favorite part? The police officer that posted up in the parking lot, all. Night… LONG! I may not know much about the 5 – 0’s but I know they don’t overnight park at the Hyatt. Long story short… Don’t let this review fool you; we have stayed at many a Motel 6 on our budget trips, and I can say that not all Motel 6’s are created equal… But the one on East Fowler in Tampa?! Do yourself a favor, and spend the extra money to keep yourself outta this place!
