Good food. They had a pumpkin empanada and it was insanely good. The woman with black hair, kind of short, provided way amazing customer service for an empanada shop. She was nice and clearly enjoyed her work. Keep her around

My very first visit… Walked in and was kindly greeted. Ordered the guava and cream cheese empanada, beef and cheese, buffalo chicken, fries and Spanish bean soup. the empanadas are made to order so are fresh hot and crispy. These were all Scrumpalicious ~

I was not at all impressed with these empanadas. My humble opinion is: This establishment would better cater to a 3am drunk clubbers crowd. Better than a chain drive thru. But not impressive if u are sober. I am latin and I have eaten them in multiple latin American countries. I even know how to make them. Dont get me wrong, the chicken bbq one i ordered and the beef one were edible. It was easier than me cooking one which cured my empanada craving. Still, it was not… at…all…worth…no… $ 3.00. What baffled me was the size of the store. So big! Then u look at their menu… so small. They lack in variety of empanada and I was a bit dissapointed that I traveled all the way from clearwater for something I could easily have prepped and fried at home using Goya frozen empanada discs from publix. Mine are bigger and more stuffed. Just sayin’…owners…if you care about a better empanada, check out«de nosotros empanadas» in dominican republic. They are a franchise and are a sensation on that island. They put much thought into their empanadas and house made sauce. I seriously thought u all would compare.

On service and cleanliness alone this place gets two stars. My wife and I ordered four empanadas from a guy behind the counter who wasn’t wearing a uniform at all. When my wife asked if the guava and cheese had a lot of cheese the guy rudely responded that’s a matter of «opinion». I said yeah and she is asking yours based on feedback from other customers.(And it being our first time here) the guy responds he doesn’t have an opinion and I said that’s obvious you could have found a more customer friendly way to day that. End of story won’t be back. No matter how great the deep friend goodness.

I love empanadas, so when we went to the Korean restaurant Rice one day & I noticed a restaurant dedicated solely to empanadas, I knew I had to try it. However, I was a little bit disappointed by the selection: — Ground beef(picadillo) — Beef & cheese — Italian sausage & cheese — Chicken, broccoli & cheese — Crabmeat What, no ground chicken with spices? That’s the whole selection? I don’t know what I was expecting, but for a whole restaurant just for empanadas I thought there’d be more than that. I also didn’t really expect them to be almost $ 3 each…(–2) I settled on one picadillo; one chicken, broccoli & cheese; & one crabmeat; sweetie also had a crabmeat one. They make them fresh upon ordering(+1), so when they brought them to our table(+1 — this IS an order-at-the-counter sort of place; I rather expected them to call out a number) they were piping hot so I had to wait a minute before chowing down. They were good. Not great, but good. The crabmeat one brought to mind the devil crab that is so popular in these parts; the chicken, broccoli & cheese wasn’t quite like the chicken pot pie sort of thing I was expecting, but it wasn’t far from it; & the picadillo was decent. I loaded each of them down with Texas Pete hot sauce — what, no real salsa? Next time I’m craving empanadas I’ll save myself 3 blocks & go to Mi Patria, where they at least have real salsa, or even head up to a Publix bakery, where they have surprisingly good chicken & beef ones.
