NY Pizza Grill

So, I did not use this place. Here’s why. I called from my nearby hotel room in which I found their flier. So that part worked. But nothing else did. I made my choice from the menu and called in to place an order. The guy picked up mommy call and saying nothing just continued taking to somebody else for a minute. Then after I finally got a chance to start talking, he just talked to probably five more people with me on the phone, so most of what I was saying either went into a black hole or I had to repeat again.
In the end, after my $ 10 order became a $ 15 charge (that’s with their «free» delivery), I just said «Never mind, cancel all of the above» the guys answer was «no problem, sir» — read «who the f… cares about you and your order». So, Do Not Order from this place. Unless of course you enjoy being abused and neglected and don’t care about the dollar equivalent of services and your food.

Would give this joke of an establishment ZERO stars if possible! Just over an hour, understood it was Gasparilla, for delivery. They called when they got here and I had to go down and get it. Come on now way to do half ur job! On top of all this the chicken wings were raw! NY pizza hahahahaha the only place u could get pizza this bad in NY is from the frozen food section… what I would rather have had Ellio’s.

Oh no. Lol. I would give it more stars if they didn’t claim it to be Ny pizza. It’s probably a 2.5 star place but because it says NY and it’s not a NY pizza, I put two stars.
I feel bad cause staff were stressed and handling so many calls, but we received a flyer which made me and my friends think it was an accommodating good local place.

But like rly, the cheese fell off and the crust was too dough-​y. With no taste because the ratio to dough to cheese and sauce were off :/​
More sauce and a diff mix of cheese might help

Horrible. Fried shrimp is freezer burnt. Fries are cardboard. Cuban isn’t a cuban… lettuce, tomatoes, and onion, honey mustard, and meats that were anything but authentic. Held for 4 minutes to make the order. Told me 45 mins, came in 1 and ½ hours. 1 star was generous.

Not very good. Got delivery on GrubHub and food arrived exactly when they said it would. The positives essentially end there. Fried calamari had limes, not lemons, and I asked for them on the side but, of course, they weren’t. It was also undercooked and barely warm. The gyro platter was wrong, was given the gyro pita instead. Fries ridiculously soggy. Pizza was okay… But definitely not New York style. Pasta was actually good. Would never go back or order out again. Way too many mistakes. Very disappointed.

I’m surprised to give one star but the app needs it to start. first our pizza came to hotel cold and with a cockroach inside. I tried to call back but the guy on phone said NO REFUNDS. I bought fries which were greasy and a hamburger that was burned beyond recognition. This place blows and the food is all frozen. Terrible service and I had to pay for garbage. They sneak into hotels and put their grimy flyers all over. Don’t waste your time or money with this outhouse of a pizzeria. They truly SUCK!

It’s kind of a travel tradition for us, since I tend towards the cheapest flights, we often arrive late at night. Late at night in downtown Tampa, your eating choices are limited, even pizza delivery ends relatively early — except for NY Pizza Grill. The problem is the poor service, and it’s also a little expensive for pizza. We got a 45 minute to an hour delivery estimate, and after an hour with no delivery I had to call. I was promised that the pizza was «on its way» but it still didn’t arrive until half an hour after that. The delivery guy was apologetic, but not authorized for a discount. The pizza was cold. We were famished, and it’s not like I haven’t eaten leftover pizza out of the fridge before, but that is how cold the pizza was. The delivery guy wasn’t using a pizza carrier of any sort and it must have been riding around in his vehicle for half an hour or more. Maybe he delivered it on a bicycle for all I know. I give two stars instead of only one because at least the delivery guy apologized and I could tell that maybe 45 minutes before the pizza was in my hands, when it was hot, it might have been a pretty good New York style pizza.
If you’re staying at a downtown Tampa hotel and arriving late, you might be better off walking up to the Taco Bus, the Duckweed grocery, or even just going to bed hungry. Next time we fly into Tampa late, we’re going to plan ahead and pack some fiber bars or something.

Only giving this ONE star because it doesn’t allow me to give ZERO. If you’re gonna throw your flyers at the doors of a hotel make sure you can assure you can deliver HOT food to said hotel. Not only did it take AN HOUR AND A HALF for a single pizza and a gyro to get delivered, but it was ICE COLD when it arrived. Also, if you’re going to advertise as NY Pizza, you better make sure it TASTES like NY Pizza! Finally, since WHEN does an XL pizza only have 6 slices? Anyone who even THINKS of ordering from this place, DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY! I give great reviews where they’re due. This food is DISGUSTING.

Ordered a pizza 2 hours and 15 mins ago and still hasn’t come. Have called 3 times and every time they have said the delivery guy is on his way. The last time I called they said «I can’t get a hold of he driver, I think he is close»…DONT ORDER FROM HERE
Update: pizza never came… so yeah don’t order food from here if you actually want to eat

Hot Garbage. Don’t make this mistake. Its already a sketchy looking place, and you know how a lot of those places have great food… Not this one. I’d rather stand naked in an ant hill then have to eat here again.

The simplest way to put this, is exact same experiance as everyone else. Never got food. Ordered through grub hub. Called many times and got run around. Steer clear

Calling a place NY Pizza already sets a high bar for me, as I am from NY. This place didn’t even clear the low bar. The pizza was awful and undercooked. The garlic knots were like rocks and were barely edible. The food is sub par for the prices charged. There are much better options in the area.

Tried this place because it was on EAT24. It was disappointing. The pasta was watery and the only sauce was stuck to the cheese. I don’t know what the salad dressing was, but it wasn’t blue cheese. The fried mushrooms were 10% mushroom and 90% tasteless breading. I’ll try the place on the other flyer I got next time.

Worst place ever. 2 hours for delivery and they didn’t even deliver all the food. 20 minutes later — ice cold disgusting garbage. These people never get it right. I give up on this dump. Total rip-​off.

Greasy shiny pizza in every picture (even the good reviews!) and terrible service? That says quite enough for me, but I did want to add that the only way I heard of this place is that some rando creep snuck into my hotel and slipped menus under the door. They are not supposed to do that. The hotel has informed them they are trespassing, and they do it anyway. When I order food from a reputable establishment, they’re not even allowed to come upstairs at my invitation, but this guy just pretends to be a guest, hiding his menus under his shirt, and creeps around the hotel all day?
With what I’ve seen on here about these guys, no wonder they have to break the law for publicity. Makes you wonder what other laws they are willing to break. Sanitation? Health codes? Employment eligibility?

KITCHEN IS HIDDEN BEHIND A CLOSED DOOR, THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE, could it be they use microwave oven in lieu of real pizza ovens? tasted rubbery and nuked. Not NY Pizza in my book… crust was soggy, not crisp and the taste was nothing to write home about… will never make that mistake again

On a business trip and checked into my hotel. Good News, delivery came in a reasonable period of time a was hot. The bad news was the ravioli were burnt and undercooked. The pizza was bland.

True colors showed, I do not recommend. Took 2 hours to get a pizza. That I ordered. Long story short this guy who owns the place needs more help and shouldn’t offer delivery if it’s a 1 man operation.
He told me he was from Italy then spoke to his colleague that he was Spanish half an hour later, I found that rude. I don’t mean to say anything offensive but why would a business owner lie about his ethnicity?

Had the crave for Italian, Schedule show it’s open till 1am weekdays.
I tried calling calling and calling, but no answer and after reading the below reviews I can see why. Not a good place to order food. I still have the crave for Italian :-(
