I had a meeting at One Buccaneer Place. Being a native to the area and a season ticket holder, I have been inside on previous occasions, but this time was a bit different. How do you describe a location where legends are made and fade away? This is a tough one, it is the primary local corporate office for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as where you can choose the location of your tickets for a game or a season and pay for the seats. There are a multitude of various offices housed inside this building. The building is inside an old mall, Tampa Bay Center, located on Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Dr. & Himes Ave. It is directly adjacent to Raymond James Stadium, the mall closed several years ago, I presume for lack of enough funds and stores willing to remain at that location. This once barren location, has gotten a facelift and new blood, with the help of One Buccaneer Place. I remember when the only Buccaneer office was a small building, out near the airport & a golf course. The waiting room and conference room I was in, was very well appointed and decorated. Almost everywhere there was Buccaneer memorabilia, pictures and treasures. When you are a Native & loyal Buccaneers fan, all that you see is exciting and refreshing. Hey we many not have a great history of wins and Pennants, but we have plenty of history and heart. Since the Buccaneers inception we have had the privilage to have some of the best coaches and players, in the history of NFL football over the years, going back to our original orange days. This is part of Tampa’s history and always something to be proud of, for many reasons, not to mention it is a deep rooted Tampa tradition. Through all the changes, ups and downs, & merry-go-rounds, ya gotta love our Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I know, no matter what the stats are, they still bring a smile to my face and will always continue to do the same. You & I both know, it is more than a love for the game, you have to have that deep team spirit, that can only come by totally backing your hometown team. What’s a girl to do? Sometimes life just takes you to memory lane.

Great facility. Covered areas for the games and you’re really close to the field.

I have been a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan for half of my life and surprisingly, today was the first Training Camp I have ever attended. One of my girlfriends invited me as her date, so I was more than happy to go! Today the facilities were open to all Season Ticket Holders. Wow! I was impressed. Everything is well-organized, from parking to security. They even provided food, drinks, and free t-shirts for everyone. Lucky for me, one of my favorite BBQ places was doing the catering. Holy Hog BBQ provided a box dinner of a chicken or pork sandwich, chips, and some cole slaw. I chose the pork. Everything was very good and I finished all my food, which is normally unheard of! There was lots of bleacher seating in the shade. Yes, the heat was unbearable, but they provided plenty of water and drinks for everyone. If you have a chance, check out a practice or two. The cheerleaders and Captain Fear are more than happy to pose for photo opportunities. Also, it is a great way for you to get some autographs from your favorite Bucs. Today was definitely a good day. Go Bucs!

Not really sure how to review this facility since it’s not a business. We went for a season pass holder tour and lunch. Tour staff was great and the facility was amazing. I’ve never been into another football team’s headquarters before, so I lack a true comparison. What I can tell you is that One Buc Place beats the hell out of the gym and locker room at Robinson High School. Sad comparison, I know. The main lobby is like a miniature Bucs museum, and I believe that anyone can waltz up in there and see that stuff. No tour pass required, so I would highly recommend doing that. Food in the cafeteria was rightfully on the bland side, and tasted as if it had the player’s best interests in mind. Protecting investments, I suppose. Either way, the food was still good, and thankfully free. Great tour, and I’d do it again if given the chance.

Was invited to tour the facilities with lunch. The only agreement is no photos in the locker rooms, which is just fine. Lunch was great, and color coded red yellow and green foods show slow vs. fast foods to assist in healthier choices for players. Everyone here is very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I had salmon, mixed greens with all the fixings, an Angus burger, and a fun time.
