On the last night in Tampa, we stopped in for a drink and pool. Had a good inexpensive time. A few beers, a few rounds of pool and a lot of laughs. Stop in and enjoy a pint of Guinness.

Pros: Paddywagons Irish Pub is located at the base of the Element high-rise apartment building in Downtown Tampa, 2 blocks from the popular downtown strip of Ashley, so I seldom remember to make a stop here. We stopped in here on the way to Fly Bar for a drink on a Saturday evening and the bar crowd was just right– not slammed but not too slow either. There was a couple of chairs still open at the bar and we were able to get a drink pretty quickly. The all female bartender staff was attentive and friendly. Paddywagons has a pool table, darts, TV trivia games, and an outdoor patio. Paddywagons is a full service bar with beer, liquor, and even cigars. Paddywagons makes a surprisingly good Margarita. You can sign up for SMS drink specials and get a bogo buy one get one brew by texting 30364 W message PWagon5 and for more deals text 97000 W message Pwtpa. Periodically Paddywagons will send out texts when they’re doing a bogo on their first round. :) Finding Street Parking can be a challenge in Downtown Tampa near the Paddywagons Irish Pub. Street parking is free after 6PM on weekdays and on weekends. Parking is much easier at Maloney’s Irish Pub a couple blocks over in Channelside with their garage. Paddywagons does not serve any food but their menu has a list of nearby restaurants that deliver to Paddywagons. There seems to be a lot of confusion on Paddywagons smoking policy since they sell cigars. There is No smoking allowed inside but smoking is allowed outside on patio!

Right in the heart of downtown, this is a great location. Really like the atmosphere, the service was good. There is no food, but you can bring your own. I like that concept. When I was here, met up with several friends and feel like this will be a successful spot in what I hope is a growing area for evening/night/weekend fun. I’d like to see real, authentic darts here.

One of my favorite little pubs. Friendly staff, good drinks, fast service, and convenient location in downtown. Everyone there is very friendly when we go. Clean & not filled with smoke like most other bars/pubs. It’s definitely a place to visit, I highly recommend. :)

Convenient to downtown and displaying Irish décor, Paddywagon Irish Pub is suitable place to drink during any day or occasion. Strictly a bar, they have a full liquor selection and a variety of draughts and a slew of whiskeys that are sure to please even the pickiest of alcohol drinkers. In addition, the bar houses a cigar case for those who like to light up while drinking when the mood strikes them. The bar has an outside covered patio which is nice for enjoying the lovely Florida weather. I always appreciate a bar where I can sit outside and people watch and get some fresh air. With the bar being at the base of the high rise residential Element, there is surely a good amount of people watching to occur. There is metered street parking or if you visit on the weekend, you’re in luck: free on street parking in metered spots. The bar has pool tables and dart boards as well as TV trivia for the guests entertainment. There are well, beer, and martini specials everyday during their happy hour from 12−7pm. I would be sure to ask your bartender about the offerings, as they are not readily posted. If hunger strikes when you are there, there is a list of local restaurants and food options in the area, and those that deliver are marked. Duckweed Urban Market is a few doors down and you can get quick snacks or prepared meals from there. All in all, I enjoyed my pleasant experience at the bar. Knowledgeable staff, the décor, and the crafted drink were a hit in my book. It might be worth noting that Paddywagon won the award for the best Bloody Mary from the 2015 Bloody Mary festival this year. Props to them and this nice addition to the downtown scene. It might be important to note that on this particular occasion it was a rainy, stormy day and we popped in during an odd-off time, like around 3:30pm on a Saturday so that is why there were few bar patrons as pictured. There were more people there then as depicted.

Paddy Wagons is very laid back and the bartenders are attentive. I t was slow during the day and picked up business later at night. The drink prices are fair and they have specials. No food unless you want to order from another establishment and have it delivered. Got a delicious rum runner that was $ 7…very potent and worth the price. I would recommend

Absolutely ridiculous that the bar would not change the volume to the Kentucky Derby. Everyone in the bar wanted to hear the Derby for 2 minutes, but when we told the the bartenders they were only worried about tips.

WE were across the street at a local hotel and we stopped in because it was just so convenient. The waiter came by and was very helpful. The place was a local hangout that does not serve any food so they are dog friendly. We love that. They also help you order food elsewhere and have it delivered if you want. We actually got great ideas on places to eat from other patrons of the bar. Good drink and good people!

Paddywagon is fine but it really doesn’t hold a candle to some of the similar bars in the area. The outside seating is nice and covered. They have a good selection of beer and really good drink specials. My greatest complaint is about the lack of staff. We decided to pop in for a beer after the Gasparilla Art Festival, and even though there were only a handful of people there it took about half an hour for the three of us to get our drinks. Another annoying element is that even though we were seated at a table we were not served and had to go inside to the bar the place the order.

I like this downtown bar. It’s a pretty fun and friendly atmosphere and they have some nice bartenders. They don’t serve food but you can order in food or bring in food. Downtown Tampa is getting better all the time.

Not much to say about Paddywagon, just your run of the mill bar. Options are limited downtown but this is a solid place to grab a drink in the area. If anything it’s worth starting here before migrating to The Hub around the corner. :) They have a decent beer selection and friendly staff. Always a lot of sporting events on plus bar trivia(it’s super easy, too — so you can feel smart even when you’re drunk!). Plus plenty of bar games to choose from.

Great bar to come here with friends, watch a game, or meet people. The bar isn’t that big compared to other ones but it’s laid out well. Can’t tell you how many bars I’ve been to where it’s hard to move around and this one doesn’t have that problem. Plenty of outdoor seating as well in case you wanted to have a beer and enjoy some nice outdoor weather. The bartenders are nice and quick on the draw. I don’t think I had to wait for a drink once. They also have a menu of custom shots you can try. My suggestion: try the Apple Jacks. They smell and taste like the real cereal. Overall, this a great bar to come to and there’s plenty of free parking after 6PM, weekdays and weekends.

I like the place. You could bring your dog. There was only one bartender and she did a great job. If you stay with the happy hour it’s not expensive. They do not serve food.

Started going to this place about 6 months ago and it’s become apart of my regular rotation of places to get a few drinks or for a late night. To start, they have some pretty good beer on tap at any given point– usually some local crafts and then from some larger micros across the nation. Not only that, but it isn’t priced bad at all…$ 4 – 5 for a draft I believe. Décor is well done, plenty of TVs, there is a pool table and 2 dart boards along with a jukebox on the wall… so you’ve got side entertainment handled for a bar of this size(which isn’t terribly large). In the past 6 months, they have covered the patio which helps a lot here in Florida. Bartenders are always nice and quick, too. Glad I found this place because I often feel downtown leaves a lot to be desired… Paddywagon’s is a great spot for downtown. Tip: Join their Text List– you get a free drink every week that rotates on Thurs/Fri/Saturday. No smoking inside, but they do welcome vaping/e-cigarettes…which I appreciate.

It’s been a year that we’ve had Paddy Wagon in Downtown Tampa and I am still a huge fan. The staff has remained friendly and provides great service and it especially shows through with the neighborhood regulars. They’ve added a covered awning to the outside seating area making it much more comfortable to sit outside on sunny or rainy days. Since they don’t have food they will often order pizzas for guests to sample for free and also regularly have a food truck outside during major sporting events.

I really enjoyed my experience at Paddywagon. Really nice, clean bar and they had fun trivia you could play with your phone and purse hooks and outlets under the bar!(if you’re like me an have a terrible battery that doesn’t last through the night then this is amazing.) They also allow dogs in the bar? And they have a pool table and darts, it’s a small space but it was really chill and had a diverse/good crowd for a saturday night.

The pub is nicely decorated with a large bar. The service was great, even though people were at bar the servers did a great job working around it and you don’t have to wait long, Prices are very fair for drinks! They have outside seating and are even dog friendly inside., some dartboards, pool and other table top games to keep you entertained.

I heart Paddywagon. As a downtown dweller, I am always excited to give any new places around here a try. The interior of the bar is really well-done. It’s an Irish pub with the modern feel you expect in downtown. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The drinks are priced right. As much as I love Anise, this girl’s ballin on a budget and $ 12 drinks all night just aren’t possible. The best thing about Paddywagon are the dart boards. They’re free and they’re the good, cork kind with the chalkboard to keep score. Best part– it’s free! Get there early though, they fill up and people tend to hog them all night. They also have a pool table, golden tee and the table top game that has the risqué «spot-the-difference» game that always seems to be popular. Another thing I love about Paddywagon is the crowd. I can’t figure it out! It’s an eclectic group but that might reflect who’s living in Downtown/Channelside these days. I love that it’s not the same people all the time. You never know who you’ll meet. You can smoke inside. It’s a bummer but I’m pretty sensitive to cigarette smoke and it hasn’t bothered me yet. I’m surprised there aren’t more good reviews of this place. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite spots! Oh, they are dog friendly too!
