The doctors office is comfortable and inviting and the staff are friendly. My first visit went well and call back with results were prompt. After the doctor concluding that there was likely no problems though he scheduled a follow up stress test, even before getting results from the echocardiogram. This is probably standard procedure for any referral to avoid getting sued but automatically scheduling the follow up before getting results from the other test seemed odd.
So I went to the stress test appointment where I was informed that the test would be dramatically expensive. But, the doctor ordered so okay, I will go ahead. 45 minutes later waiting in the waiting room for what would be a 2 – 3 hour test was too much for me. For someone who arrives promptly for a long appointment, I should not need to wait nearly an hour to start the test (we have to work too). I politely cancelled the appointment and let them known would regroup with my primary care doctor for necessity of the test.
Part of patient care is keeping appointments especially when you penalize patients when they do not keep theirs.

If only every visit to the doctor’s office was like this…
The folks who check you in, the ones who take your vitals, and the doctor himself, are all top-​notch personalities. They at least act like they want to be there, not common in the medical field anymore.
Dr Randall is one of my favorite doctors. He’s an A+ cardiologist, but he also has a warm bedside manner.
Unfortunately, I’ll be back!
