This is our neighborhood park and I love it! My son(baby) and I walk it daily and enjoy watching folks fish, sun bath, play and exercise.

A nice place for a walk or let your child run free. Also has open space to fly a kite or two if there is a breeze. There is a nice board walk.

Located along the Hillsborough River, this is a relatively small, free neighborhood park, which is perfect if you want to exercise or take a walk with no hassles. There is a paved asphalt track that circles along the exterior of the park which runs a little over half a mile. I do wish there were more trees along the path — much of the path is in full sun, which can get brutal in the summer. There are plenty of cool, huge old oak trees in the center of the park, though, so it’s a perfect place to bring a chair or blanket to just hang out. There also seems to be a yoga class most weekends held right next to the river, which is pretty neat. It does have a few amenities — one picnic shelter, a volleyball area, a great little playground, and restrooms. Plenty of parking — in the lot, or along the street. Great spot to bring your dog!

I love Rivercrest Park. Living in the neighborhood, I consider Rivercrest to be a hidden gem of the Seminole Heights area. Right on the Hillsborough River, the scenery is just beautiful. There is a playground for the kids and lovely areas to go for a stroll. I have been to a few South Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association events here, which always involve live music and lots of fun! If you are lookin’ for a beautiful spot to chillax in the Heights — bring yourself to Rivercrest!
