Incredible selection — unique and well organized. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We were immediately greeted, and checked on several times(but not in an annoying way) we were offered a tape measure straight away as well, in case we needed to measure the Windows we were looking at. We were also given cold bottles of water right away(it’s an open warehouse type location, so it was HOT) Definitely not disappointed. We left with a cool window to repurpose in to an art project and some steel pegs, for the same reason. Check it out.

Schiller’s salvage yard is that place you go to when you love love love old historical stuff and want to display it in your house and brag how that window pane on your wall was from some old fancy hotel that no longer exists. Super fun place to go to to just look through all of the incredible pieces, even if you can’t always afford them. The first time we came here we bought drawer pulls for our custom wall unit and it really added the little bit of flair we were looking for. They were affordably prices and the woman working there was helpful in finding matching pieces for us. I could spend all day walking around in here imagining what the furniture and wood looked like in the original building and it’s always fun to take a piece of that history home with you.

So excited to have made my first trip to Schiller’s, especially after having heard such great things. The vintage window frame selection was extensive and I was able to find multiple shapes/sizes that I was hoping to find. They also had a large variety of crates, which I plan to go back for. There were lots of signs and letters for decorating with, as well as a large amount of wrought iron fencing/pieces. Honestly, walking around in there awoke the inner«Picker» in me and made we want to grab this and that and go home and scour Pinterest for ways to use these unique finds in decorating my house. I can’t wait to go back:

This place is one of my favorite places in Tampa. I discovered it as soon as I moved here two years ago and fell in love. It’s really unique and one of a kind.

When I first came here, the first thing that can to mind was the show«American Pickers». This is a great place to find one of a kind pieces; and to a certain degree it serves as a museum(IMO). The place is enormous and the variety of items are so diverse. I also come here for inspiration because it gives me glimpses of the past. The items are expensive no doubt so be prepared to bargain. But if you’re looking for a one of a kind piece or a new restoration project; this place is it. Like others have said, checking in gets you a discount for that day. Happy picking!!!

Schillers Salvage, north of Kennedy on Cypress and Rome, is a fun place to visit if you’re into design, restoring, buying antiques or just like looking at old, interesting stuff, which is the category I fall into. I never buy anything when I go but at least I know where to find things there when I do need things of that sort. It’s a fun place to walk around and the prices aren’t too bad, for the most part. They do have very expensive items, but it’s because the items are one of a kind. By the way, 15% off when you check in on Unilocal so that helps out. One thing I like about Schillers is it’s very well-organized, especially considering how much stuff they have, inside and out. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, there’s always someone available to help out. It’s amazing how big the place is and the wide variety of things you can find. Definitely check it out! Cool place!

This salvage store is amazing! I love that it is so well laid out and organized. When you have a ton of merchandise, I think that is incredibly important. Everything is separated by area: used doors, lamps and all their pieces, old wheels, stained glass windows, neon lights and signs, etc. If you are looking to re-do, create, or simply buy an old, interesting conversation piece(carousel horse, anyone?) you will find it here. Just be prepared to spend some time here — the place is huge, and they have goods stacked both inside and outside. As for me, I bought the 60″ part of an old door to refinish and make it into an office desk. In my dreams, it looks amazing. It’ll be interesting to see what the reality turns out to be.

Whatever the search may be for — conversation piece or construction materials, architectural accents or antiques, weathered wood for trims or floors, stately chandeliers or even a claw-footed bathtub — it is truly worth a trip to uncover and discover what may be available at Schiller’s Architectural and Design Salvage. Eclectic does not even begin to describe the inventory housed within this massive space located north of Kennedy Boulevard. Schiller’s 17,000-square-foot warehouse is filled from floor to ceiling with light fixtures, new and vintage furniture, whimsical signs, wooden shutters, stately columns, sturdy doors and so much more that will fill any visit, whether to browse or buy, with all sorts of wondrous discoveries. The range of reclaimed building materials found here can be used creatively to re-purpose a piece — one person’s door is another’s table top — or simply incorporate a non-traditional touch that adds elegance to an entryway, think beautiful brass door knobs, stunningly frame a fireplace or a hint of classic décor or nostalgic grace to a room. The inventory is ever-changing and can include big items like ornamental outdoor sculptures or a carousel horse or more easily transportable items like vintage chalkboards, old-fashioned tabletop fans and over-sized letters and numbers.
