We moved to Tampa in May of this year. in the three months since buying our home we’ve sought to have a number of upgrades made to the property. While Lowes conduit to proven professionals has definitely helped, I’ve found their ‘Porch’ initiative — designed to allow customers to locate various trades — has actually proven disappointing. The ‘Porch’ contacts have proven difficult to contact and unsuccessful in matching my needs. I was recommended to contact Scott Hines for quotes on three projects I was considering. The rapid and professional response proved to be amazing. Scott himself, and his assistant, David, came to my home, surveyed my desires, and proceeded to provide me with extremely reasonable quotes for what I needed to have done. This may be viewed as the most basic of performance by some, but I’ve found dealing with varying echelons of contractors, handymen, and other purported professionals to be a disheartening experience. Condescending attitudes, hard sells to expand desired work, and prolonged waits for responses and quotes have frustrated me greatly. None of this is the case with Scott. Top quality work, performed by skilled professionals, at prices significantly lower than guesstimates provided by some other, less impressive resources. I am quick to condemn shoddy work, and try to be equally quick in heralding top performers. I like their work ethic and manner of doing business!
