I have known Dr. Susanne Demers a little over a year and I have been a patient of hers over the last two months. I met her and her mother Jan at the gym I was attending while they were giving a seminar on clean eating and nutrition. I attended a few of her talks and found her to be quite knowledgeable as well as sharing some of the core values I embodied myself. She advised that she was opening her practice in the area but I never really gave it much thought until recently.
Two months ago I did some damage to my back just jumping up to reach something off of the shelf, knowing good and well I should have got the step stool. (I hate admitting I’m no longer 18 and that I am short LOL) After the first three days the excruciating pain was not going away after pain pills and no movement. I knew I had to get help. I remembered that I met Dr. Demers and felt comfortable with her so immediately made and emergency appointment. I was glad to find that both she and her office manager/​mother Jan remembered me. She got me right in and I took and x-​ray so she could assess the damage and then I had a series of adjustments over the next few days. Immediately the healing began without pain pills! Within a few days the pain was gone.
I felt good but Dr. Demers expressed some concern for my overall well-​being. We reviewed my x-​ray and I was given a treatment plan based on the condition of my spine and given reasons for the other issues I was having. At first I admit, I was going to say my pain is gone and I am doing better but I knew that those other issues were also a concern so I decided take her diagnosis seriously. I am only in the beginning stages but I have to admit it was one of the best decisions I have made. I have more energy, I have less stress, no knee pain, lost some weight and have stopped taking allergy pills every day.
I have to thank Dr. Demers for her expertise, encouragement, and willingness to inform not only her patients but the community her practice is located in.
