Shimberg Soccer Complex

It’s a nice complex of soccer fields. Be prepared to bring bug spray though! Especially on hot days there are Mosquitos everywhere.
Contrary to some of the reviews, I did not think the fields are in great shape. There are holes and dirt mounds all over the place. I’m surprised I havent rolled my ankles at all yet (probably just jinxed myself). It is conveniently close to where I live which is a big plus and I’ll continue to play here. Could use a little more grass and a little less dirt /​sand though.

I’m here Sundays… every Sunday. 11 v 11 coed rec… the fields are pretty well taken care of.
There is only one restroom for each sex… and they are always out of TP, so feel free to bring your own.

One of my favorite places to spend a Sunday afternoon or evening, this is where I play 11 v 11 co-​ed rec soccer. The complex gets a lot of traffic, since it hosts a youth soccer league as well as the multiple adult soccer teams that play here as well.
They do a pretty good job with field maintenance, rotating fields in and out of service based upon wear & tear; considering how much they are used, it’s overall in fairly good shape.
The bathrooms almost always need some help though, they’re hit or miss as to whether or not they’re working.
