I should have listened to all the other Unilocalers but we all know I’m a hard head. I got the burger and fries and two beers. The wife got veggie thing and two beers. The burger had a good taste to bad they burned it. It was like eating tasty cardboard. It’s a bit pricey also the tar was 70.00

What a joke of a place. I ordered my food and waited for 30 minutes as the employees took their time delivering my order to the front of the counter. It’s really a shame that half of the C terminal is under construction because I was really looking forward to Chilis and a margarita. I was just treated rudely when I FINALY brought up to someone that I had ordered fries with my meal and the eye rolling commenced. I chose this place over Quiznos because I was hoping for a better food, but received something very below par. My burger was burnt and not relatively juicy. I doused it in sauce because of it. Their fries were HOT but not fresh out of the fryer… And no «sea salt» as promised. The employees weren’t happy to be there and I won’t be recommending this place to any one.

The host was very rude; he called some guests who had spilled a sauce«dumb» right in front of myself and my friend. However, the servers were all fun and polite, and the food(we got the wine and veggie burgers) was decent. The sides to those were salt fires and sweet potatoe fries which were also pretty tasty. Not bad for an airport joint. Just mind the attitude.

Why do I write Unilocal reviews but do not always think to check them before eating someplace? Actually I do check the reviews for most places. I did not do so for Shula’s for the simple reasons that I was at the airport, I had a lot of time before my flight home, I was hungry, and the choices were limited — unless I wanted to leave the secure area and go to a different terminal. The food sounded good. And the options looked much better than Quizno’s next door. Those were the choices unless you count Starbucks, which is no place for a meal. The problem is that the place was understaffed. The young man at the counter took the order and put it into the line-up of orders for the one person working the grill. Then I had to wait with the other people who had been there for a while. Twenty-five minutes later, the food finally arrived. I had the hot dog for a couple of reasons: they were out of grilled chicken, and I did not trust them to make a well-done burger. The hot dog was actually pretty good — not at all like the typical airport hot dogs. I did not want to chance the fries, as the odds of having the hot dog and fries ready at the same time seemed pretty low. So I had the chips, which did not take 25 minutes to get. My advice to you: eat before going through security or take something with you. Your experience may differ from mine, but I doubt it. Unless management decides to hire more staff and stop taking advantage of a captive audience, you will not have fun unless standing around commiserating with other travelers is your idea of fun. And you do enough of that when traveling as it is, no doubt.

Awful. I get there in the morning before my flight, they have their lunch menu up, I order a burger with cheese no onions. The cashier says sorry only breakfast. So I wait a few seconds and then a small screen on the right rotates the breakfast menu. While that is cycling through the lunch menu does not rotate through. I was irritated about that because it’s the biggest advertisement there. If it’s not available for sale at that time they should not have it on display. I walked away annoyed.

Slowest service I’ve had in a long time. The host was rude and uncaring. He looked at his papers for 5 minutes and just kept putting 1 finger up saying one minute. Never going back. Food wasn’t very good either

Horrible service. Sat at Bar. Not that busy. No refill offer for drink. Food came 25 min cold as it sat under light. Had to ask for ketchup. Had to ask for silverware. Schula’s should pull their name off this place.

The slowest, most incompetent service on the planet. They truly give no f*cks. Avoid if at all possible.

For the steak house not the burger chain. Every flight in the air port was delayed 3 to 5 hours so the food places were packed and it felt like the staff was not used to it. How ever they were working hard and pushing threw they did a good job. As for the food the tips appetizer was fantastic I’m taking 5 star yummy. How ever we waited a while for the app to come out and the food was 3 min behind the app. Loss of points there. The burger I got was the wine country. Every thing on it was great except the meat it self was kinda well not steak house quality. Good flavors other wise. My buddy got a steak and it was spot on good he said. Over its in an airport so can’t really say how it effects the ones out side of the air port

I only had drinks waiting for my plane, so I can only comment on them. Very nice place, clean, great service, many tv’s tuned to different shows to keep your interest. Drinks were full pour and priced reasonable for an airport. As I said, service top notch. When waiting for a flight, nice place to wait.

Don’t do it. Crab cake app salty. Marg was sour, all triple sec. Not tasty. Service slowish. Just because you are stuck at airport doest mean your food and drink should suck. Go a few more step further to the Cigar City Brewery for a much better option!

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast sandwiches, it was good, hot and filling. So far, so good…

Burgers are nothing special, but when the burger sits there for 20 minutes while they wait for tater tots, then it brings it down to: wow, that’s bad. Speaking of bad, the sweet potato tater tots may sound like a good idea, but they are the grossest things i have ever thrown away. Somehow, they take innocent sweet potatoes, grind them up, add pounds of sugar and cinnamon, form them into tots, fry them, and serve you the worst food thing ever created. Typical overpriced airport food gone bad.

I was changing flight at Tampa I was very hungry I saw Shula’s I am familiar with the name and the steak house. Since I am also and old Baltimore Colts fan I sad what the heck I’ll try the coaches food. The wait was not long. What I got was the perfect burger. Char grilled like Burger King melted American cheese with fresh cripy lettuce warm and ready to go. Impressed? Yes. Cost of the burger was about average for airport fair. Everything is usually over priced at the airport. If you think your going to find any deals here, keep dreaming. Otherwise it is what it is. Overall I would eat here again if chance shall have it

Meh. This review is for their burger. It really wasn’t that great. I’m surprised they asked how I wanted it cooked. Medium well I guess means charred and well done. The burger reminds me of what you would get at a company cookout where they buy he cheap burgers and cook them as well as they can so they don’t have a liability on their hands for undercooked meat. Or one of those burgers at your kids baseball game. No flavor or taste. If you enjoy one of those two scenarios, then I suggest ordering the burger here. If you don’t, consider ordering something else or lower your expectations of what this burger will give you. Also expect to have a little bit slower service. I had an hour to burn so it worked out but ask before you sit so you can be sure you won’t miss your flight boarding. I’ve lived in Tampa for many years and always heard good things about Shulas. Maybe it’s the airport location and maybe it’s every location, but this experience wouldn’t compel me to return.

I had a veggie burger and sea salt fries. I wouldn’t order the burger again, a bit like cardboard. Although I loved the fries, my cardiologist would not, very salty. My expectations weren’t very high, as I’m a realist. Very nice guy working the register & super polite.

Okay, that burger(veggie) was NOT worth $ 8. There was absolutely nothing to it. I’ve had better from Burger King. But the attitude and lack of service was what made up my mind about this place. Kristian is the absolute worst and does not belong in a face to face customer setting.

Stopped in for breakfast this morning while waiting on my flight. The staff is very friendly and as the hostess was seating me she asked what time my flight was, I assume so that they will know rather or not I would have time to sit and eat. The restaurant is very nice and clean. There is even an ‘outside’ eating area where you can sit to people gaze as I like to call it. The music they were playing was sooo 80s and I loved it. I was able to sing while I waited for my food, which made the time breeze by. They have a nice bar and about 5 TVs to watch around the restaurant. Now the food no had the Perfect Breakfast which was a steak and eggs and breakfast potatoes. The eggs were ok, and the potatoes were good. They were like wedges but cooked great. Now the steak on the other hand, was a huge let down. I paid $ 20 for this meal and the steak could have been a better quality. I ordered it medium well and it was a bit cold but was as if they have them pre-cooked and warm them as they are ordered. I also had a cup of coffee and let me tell you, it was strong but it was good. I give Shula’s 3 stars because I think their quality of food should be better. They are a very popular steak house in the Tampa area and if they want to drive longer layover guests to their restaurants, I think they need to do a bit better at this one in the airport.

I was very impressed with this place. If it wasn’t in an airport, they would have likely fared better. As it was, the food was overpriced and they only had two people working(though there were five on the payroll). Outside of an airport, this wouldn’t have happened. I had the BBQ burger. This was a solid choice. The poor guy behind the counter was busting his butt. He was assisted by the cook. Everyone else was just hanging around feeding themselves. The burger was ginormous, cooked well, slathered in a solid BBQ sauce and had a ton of bacon. I was pretty impressed. Add the sweet potato chips and it was as good an airplane meal that you could find under $ 20. I’d definitely go here again. Just don’t expect great food at anything resembling reasonable.

Average burger, but extra star for excellent service. Running late, I needed something quick before my plane was going to board. Asked the server, what I could get fast and she promised me a burger in less than five minutes. Sure enough I got my burger within the timeframe. The cheese burger itself was good by airport food standards, and average by real world measurements. With airport food my expectations are not very high. Regardless, if you need a quick bite and want a decent burger to chuck down your gullet, than Schula’s meets this criteria.
