Great BBQ, friendly staff! Everything was amazing. I highly recommend the brisket, jalapeño mac n’ cheese and sausage, but it’s hard to pick a favorite out of all of their wonderful offerings.

When my husband and I had discovered Callys BBQ was no more, we were pretty disappointed. We decided to try out the new place– I am SO GLAD WE DID! We each had the brisket lean cut; the owner offered us a choice between regular or lean cut. It was perfectly done. I consider good BBQ to be the kind you can enjoy the flavor a of without adding sauce and this fit the bill. But you should try the sauces anyway, they were quite yummy. The Mac and cheese was done with a cavatappi macaroni. It was the right amount of creamy and cheesy but not too cheesy. Beyond the great food, the service was wonderful. The husband and wife owners were very friendly and we ended up talking to them about everything from BBQ to Travel to. Well, I am rambling. We will definitely be back. See you there!

Overall this place is great, but they have maybe the best baked beans I have ever had! Really need to head back over there for some more goodness!

A cpl months ago I decided to give this place a try and discovered they have new owners. It’s literally a mom and pop place. I’ve gone back once a week since. I love me some brisket and theirs is fantastic. I’ve also had the pulled pork and ribs and they were also very good. I can only vouch for the greens – they’re not bad but not great either– as a side so I can’t give any comments on anything else. It’s pretty tiny inside but nicely done. Don’t bring a group. You won’t fit. They have several sauces you can take with u to go. They rub their meats which I like. I’d rather put my own amount of sauce.

I highly recommend driving out of your way to get here when you have a barbecue craving. I can’t even go anywhere else anymore. The meat is just perfect — tender, moist with a beautiful bark. No overpowering spices, but they do have three kinds of homemade barbecue sauce if you want. They also have a three strengths of homemade hot sauce that are the perfect balance of flavor and heat.
The sides are great too. I’ve had the jalapeño mac and cheese, coleslaw and baked beans. They don’t do anything halfway. Everything is made right there from scratch and they do it right. The new owner is from Texas and knows brisket. I mean it’s so good I dream about it and caught myself seriously considering naming my first child «brisket.»
The dining room is a little cozy but well decorated and comfortable. For some reason there is always 80’s music playing but you know, 80’s music was pretty awesome.
If you want barbecue done right by folks who obviously care, this is the place to be!

Another nice BBQ joint in the area! The owner is very friendly, and the despite the restaurant only having a couple tables inside, it is very cute and cozy. The pulled pork sandwich was nice and smoky, with very little fat in it. The meat was chopped in nice big, pieces, because who wants the minced pulled pork you frequently get at other places? All of the sauces (mustard, hot, and sweet) were delicious so I can’t really pick a favorite. Just go ahead and slather them all on your meat. The baked beans were UH-​mazing! And they have waffle fries! I’m not a huge fry fan, but these were quite addictive. We will definitely be back here soon!
