A wonderful antique and curiosity shop on far S. MacDill below Gandy. It can be easily spotted at the corner of Ballast Point Blvd. where concrete yard statuary, urns, birdbaths and other concrete outdoor items are displayed outside. Inside is a surprisingly large number of rooms to poke about… old books, furniture, ornamentals, crockery, dishes, jewelry, religious art, old tools, walking sticks, statues, paintings, advertising lights, old doll-​house furniture, military weapons & memorabilia, knick-​knacks, old cans/​bottles, early electric tools/​appliances, and lots of surprises.
Most items are attractively displayed in related groupings, and prices are very reasonable… and undoubtedly subject to some negotiation with the friendly owner.
A military discount is offered… sensibly since the shop is located very near MacDill AFB. Even if you are bent on buying, this is a pleasant place to wander, admire, and form some ideas for gifts, etc… and do not be surprised if you end up buying just a few fine items and leaving happy.
