Awesome area with rich history. A soon to be important area as it was in the 20’s. The area is known for its springs, pool, parks, manatees, river and more. Lots of cool bungalows and other nice houses In the area. Needs a little tlc in the area but its location makes it easy to get anywhere in Tampa within 15 minutes

This is a terrific Tampa gem with lots of interesting aspects to it including a wonderful public swimming pool, public mural art and a tile mosaic, small playground, boardwalks and viewpoints along the Hillsborough River, rich history of what has long been an important spring for the area dating way back, a one-time Floridiana tourist attraction with a water slide, spring and gators; lots of wildlife including fish, turtles, birds, and manatee viewing, a lovely area of picnic benches and natural surroundings for relaxing, a trail to adjacent parks. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit rough. 275 runs by. River Tower Park is adjacent connected by a trail under 275. The greyhound track and historic Sulphur Springs(including th old Springs Theater) are nearby on Nebraska. The site is part of a self-guided history tour: Enjoy. I love this kind of cool Tampa gem.
