Super Tacos

Honestly, Tacos aren’t my go to choice when I’m looking for something to eat but wanted to try something different. Wasn’t to keen of paying $ 2.50 for each taco but ended up ordering three bistec/​steak tacos and liked it. Was sastisfied and will try again.

As soon as I walked up to the truck on this Taco Tuesday, I looked up in the truck and noticed a new girl. Then I noticed new handmade signage with their offerings, including new meats such as chicken, tripa, et al. I couldn’t digest all these changes at once. My world had been shaken up. I had to ask la nueva, Donde estan las otras chicas? She told me that they left (In Spanish. This one also doesn’t speak a lick of English). I had to ask her if the tacos will be the same size because now their sign indicates you can get small tacos for $ 1.75 and the tacos with tortillas made by hand for $ 2.50. She told me: yes, they’re bigger. I was skeptical about this and whether or not the meats will taste the same. I went with what I usually get, asada and carnitas and added one of their new offerings… pollo…And got the handmade tortillas, which is a welcomed addition.
After I ordered I had to go inside Casa Mexicana to get more explanation about where the taco sisters went but again, got a brief answer: They left and they don’t know where to. Oh well…
Back to the tacos… I’m here to report that the taste is the same but la nueva wasn’t as generous with the meat as the taco sisters. So I showed her my previous pictures with hopes that she can be more heavy handed with the meats in the future. Yes, it’s that serious guys. :) Oh, and the chicken taco was equally as good as the carnitas and steak. Potatoes also make a surprise appearance in the chicken tacos (as they do with the steak). So I’m happy. Still shaken up though but I will pull through.

Best Tacos in Tampa… I tried them all. I would say this is better than Loli’s and also Grocery de Acapulco.
The food is delicious, authentic, and cheap.
It is a food truck so don’t expect much. The service is a bit difficult. They don’t have the best language skills but you can google everything. It takes a bit for them to process credit cards. cash is far easier payment option.

We just moved here from Texas where there’s tons of great Mexican taco trucks and since we’ve been here in Tampa trying to find some good Mexican has been a challenge to where we pretty much gave up. Today I said lets just give this place a shot and we both agreed this is the place we will be coming too from now on. Best Mexican food/​tacos in Tampa thus far. enjoy
