Although it is a quaint little shop with some interesting culinary finds, I wasn’t impressed at all by the banana chocolate chip cupcake I had. It was dry, bland, and lacking any flavor whatsoever. Honestly, if I was wasn’t told what the flavor was, I would’ve never guessed it. Guess when you make a banana chocolate chip cupcake pink with green frosting, it should make you think. If I could give a 2.5 star I would, as my husbands apple crumble cupcake was good(too crumbly though), the coffee blends were good, and the girl there was very nice. I think instead of the«gift shop», they’d do better with some indoor seating for those of us driving to «try them on a whim».

I tried 3 different cupcakes: red velvet, banana with Nutella, and orange– the cake was good and it had plenty of frosting — the problem was that it was really sweet buttercream frosting– if you like buttercream frosting you will love their cupcakes.

The orange frosted oatmeal cookie is my favorite cookie of all time. Also, the cupcakes are always delightfully moist. I only wish they were open in the evenings for date night.

As Chris stated, the orange frosted oatmeal cookie is superb. Definitely worth the travels for this alone. They make nice gift baskets and they deliver too.

Orange frosted oatmeal cookies! That’s what got me in the door of this charming gift and sweets shop located on MacDill Ave. I read comments from more than one Unilocaler raving about these cookies so I had to try them for myself and I have to say that they were worth the trip. Mine was excellent. The pairing of orange frosting and oatmeal cookies sounded so strange but they really work well together. There were several flavors of cookies that tempted me, such as peanut butter, double chocolate, and what appeared to be red velvet(!). The display case had Rice Krispies treats and several different types of cupcakes available. I only glanced at the gift shop section because I was only there for cookies, but it seemed like a nice place to find a cute gift for someone special. I was glad I came here and will definitely come back again.
