The Alteration Place

I have been taking garments here for 6 years, and have never experienced anything even bordering on poor customer service. Always polite, always accommodating, and I have never had an issue paying with a credit card. I have had pants and suits adjusted here, and they always do great work. I will not go to anyone else as long as I am living in Tampa Bay.

I was happy with the quality of work they did for me and what they charged me, but man they need to work on their customer service skills. When I walked in the woman who «helped» me could not have been more aloof and unfriendly. I had a very minor alteration that I wanted done. When I asked her how much it would be she said «not much», which made me nervous later because that is very open to interpretation. To her credit she was correct. They only charged me a few dollars for the job. When I went to pick up my item I saw that there was a sign saying that they accepted MasterCard and Visa. When I reached for a credit card she sternly told me «you pay cash». I understand that service charges were most likely the reason for this, but she could’ve asked nicely. I’m giving this place four stars because the alteration was so cheap and they did a good job, but it definitely wasn’t service with a smile.

Alterations done professionally and at a reasonable price. I haven’t had anything complicated done here yet, but I will. They’ve done a great job with hemming, replacing lining, and stitching up seams.
