The Salon at Carrollwood

I have long, thick hair and am usually very picky with my haircuts. I have been searching for a stylist ever since mine of over 10 years moved on to a different career. I chose this business based on Unilocal ratings, the fact that you can book your appointment online, and it’s close to my house. Sarah was very welcoming and she seemed to know exactly what I wanted based on a few questions. She understood I wanted a cut that I could wear straight, curly, or let dry naturally wavy AND was low maintenance. For whatever reason I trusted she knew what she was doing from the moment she started working and based on the results I was right. It’s been years since I’ve been so happy with a cut! On top of that, the price for a shampoo, cut, and blow-​dry was the best I’ve found in Tampa for the quality you get.

I called on Tuesday (⁴⁄₅) during normal business hours to schedule an appt for a cut and color. No one answered so I left a message. After no return phone call in 24hrs, I called again on Wednesday during normal business hours and no one picked up. It is now Friday and I have yet to get a call back to schedule anything. Apparently they do not want my business.

Today was my first visit to The Salon at Carrollwood. Joyce took the time to sit and ask me questions about what I was looking to have done to my hair. She surpassed my expectations. My hair came out amazing… She matched my highlights that haven’t been done in about year perfectly. She cut and styled my hair and I am beyond happy with the results. I got the chance to get to know Joyce today and I think she is a very kind and friendly person. I will defiantly be returning. I highly recommend this salon to everyone!

I decided to go here according to all the good reviews on Unilocal.
I wanted to get a balayage done for the first time, and wanted it done right! I definitely came to the right place! Joseph is awesome and definitely knows what he’s doing, he listens to what you want done and also makes suggestions in order to create the perfect hairstyle for you. They treat you right here! I will definitely come back again. Overall great experience.

Tampa… Do yourself a favor and get your beautification on here!!! Joseph is absolutely amazing! I moved to Carrolwood in June and have gone here every 6 weeks since! The staff is always upbeat and immediately offers a drink (which is great after those long workdays). Joseph is the greatest and always remembers exactly what was done the time before and makes recommendations without being overbearing and always with the clients best interest in mind! I feel s welcomed when I come here.
So many salons will make unnecessary recommendations just to make a few extra bucks… They do not do this here!
I will be a loyal customer for a very long time!!!

I recently relocated to Tampa area. It’s been months looking for a hair salon. Here they treat you really well and you get a really nice massage. However, this excellent service is kind of pricey.

I was searching for a while on a salon that could just trim my hair since moving here from New York. I searched on Unilocal and found this place and the reviews on this guy Joseph who seems to specialize in cutting long hair seemed to be very positive. I have been to some hair dressers that just want to cut it all off. So I took a chance.
Anyway, when I first got there they offered me something to drink and Joseph took me to cut my hair. He is very nice and knew exactly what he was doing. The cut came out great and I was very pleased.
I would definitely recommend him and for other services. I will go back again and the pricing was reasonable. They take credit cards and you are able to put the tip on the card to which is a plus.

Always love to get a blowout with them, the best in town! It’s a must for me if I have an event or just need a beauty pick me up!

My first visit to the salon was today and I’m hooked. I’m new to the area and of course found the salon here on Unilocal.Joseph styled my hair and he’s magical. I have multiple textures in my hair and he did a phenomenal job getting it straight with just a little curl on the end. Just how I like it. Enjoyed the service so well I’m going back next week for another appointment. He explained exactly what he was doing and the type of the products he was using. He really knows his stuff. I felt extremely comfortable with him. (I don’t trust everyone with doing my hair). It was pouring rain outside and he was nice enough to get my car and bring it to the door so I wouldn’t get wet. Now THAT’s service for ya! Very impressed and I highly recommend this salon

I’ve been in tampa for about a year and visited many hair salons that didn’t meet my expectations! I decided to go to this place cause of the reviews in Unilocal and other websites, and … I love it! They are a great and professional team.
They can understand what you wish and transform your hair in what you want to have

Best Service and AMAZINGGGG results!!! I had virgin curly hair and was so ready for some color, but so scared of ruining the integrity of my curls. Joe, my stylist, was so amazing and explained the entire ombré/​balayage process which completely put me at ease. The results have been better than I would have ever anticipated! I also enjoy my monthly blowout sessions. I would recommend The Salon at Carrollwood, and specifically Joe to anyone who is thinking of complex color treatments or even down to a simple blowout. Five stars all the way!!!
