I dislike the Winn Dixie chain as a whole. I think the products are overpriced and their food selection tends to focus on highly processed foods. That being said, this is probably one of the nicest Winn Dixies I’ve ever been to. It’s always clean, it’s a large store, it’s right next to a basketball court and art studio, and it’s down the street from my gym. The parking lot is also more shaded than most are due to the trees. So I guess if you’re going to get ripped off at a Winn Dixie, get ripped off at this one.

Satisfactory bathroom. The layout of the store is spot on everything where it should. Clean which is always good thing when shopping for food. All in all a good grocery store.

Finally, a real grocery store in Tampa. It wasn’t until I moved to S. Seminole Heights that I understood what the term ‘food desert’ really meant. Grocery options around here are so depressing. The other Publix and Winn Dixie stores are so limited in terms of selection and not so appealing in terms of quality of produce, meats, or clientele. The second best option compared to this Winn Dixie is the Publix Green Wise, but even that store has very limited selections(and it’s crazy expensive). If you grew up somewhere in the midwest(like me) and are accustomed to a decent produce and meat section, spacious aisles, and decent prices, you should probably be shopping here too.

This morning I went to get some yogurt. A man named Ivan whistled, commented on how incredible my body was, and then stared me down as I got my yogurt and walked away. I told the manager at the store that I was an attorney and I did not like the way Ivan treated me. Even though I live closest to this grocery store, I will go to publix from now on to shop at a store where the employees do not sexually harass customers. Obviously this store does not care if women can have a comfortable shopping experience or they would never let a man like Ivan have contact with customers. The manager I spoke with apologized, but I will never go back again.

Overall the store is well laid out and even includes an olive bar. It is conveniently located and very easy to get in and out of the store parking lot However, on this particular visit there was a shortage of cashiers that caused a very long line at check out. To be fair, it was Easter and many of their competitors were closed, but this should have been anticipated and staffed accordingly.

Winn Dixie will never be the old Sweetbay, but thankfully, the staff has remained the same. As a result of the company takeover, prices have dropped. This review is for the liquor store(I know, I know, what a surprise… haha). I visited the liquor store Sunday in order to stock up for Sunday Funday Margaritas that my bestie planned on making later that night. Thank God for my mid-afternoon nap because Sunday Funday began with six mimosas earlier that morning and I would have had no business whatsoever drinking margaritas. Bethany was the WD staff member working in the liquor store that day. She was very friendly and helpful with assisting me in finding everything I needed, especially since my best friend doesn’t mess around with the cheap stuff. Like I stated earlier, prices have definitely dropped due to the WD conversion. I saved $ 8 with my WD card and I was proud! Yes, this isn’t your mass merchandiser liquor store down the street. Yes, they don’t have an infinite number of choices for liquor and wine. But, they are conveniently located, the staff is friendly, and prices are low. No brainer here — I will definitely be back.

Cheap and convenient. Who can complain? Ya it’s not publix but all of the packaged goods are considerably cheaper Plus, if you have the rewards card you save big on not only groceries but they have fuel perks as well. Holla!
