Came here last night for the first time. What an awesome place! It’s $ 8 an hour to use the studio, but Sat nights have a special– $ 4 an hr. Different days have different specials. They have a huge coffee and tea menu as well as milkshakes, ice cream, cookies to purchase. My hot spiced chai tea was incredible!!! There are plenty of pottery pieces to choose from to paint. The prices are on the bottom, so you’d pay the studio fee as well as purchase the item you want. You choose your paint colors, grab some brushes, take a seat at a table and paint away :) If you don’t finish your piece, you are welcome to take it home and bring it with you next time you come in, otherwise, if you are finished– they will be sure to glaze and put your piece in the kiln and it will be ready in a few days. Very friendly and helpful staff! Can’t wait to go back, it’s a really fun activity to do outside of the norm!

Loved this place! Everyone is nice and helpful. So many pieces to choose from. Far from overpriced. Yummy drinks and sweets to have while you paint. Can’t wait to return!

Awesome experience. My daughter and I could not have enjoyed ourselves any more and the staff was so helpful and nice. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a nice relaxed time with those that are special and create something for a great memory at the same time. Oh and the Buddy Brew coffee is a huge plus for the over all experience! I will be back!

My new gal pal LL took me to do this on Valentine’s Day. Now that I have been enjoying my mug for three months, I thought I should review it. I loved this experience. It was free to paint that night so we only had to pay for the item we wished to paint. You get unlimited colors but they do have to pour them for you. I ordered a chai latte and it was DIVINE… fresh, hot with just the right amount of spice.
My mug was oversized and I used multiple colors. It took about 4 days and we got the call it was ready. I was very happy with the results. Use and layer the colors a lot. Draw on the cup if needed. They have stencils and other items to help. Get your creative juices flowing.
If you want, bring your own pizza and a bottle of wine. Can’t beat that.

This is a great place to go for anyone looking to waste away a few hours and relax! I’ve gone with everyone from friends to my fiancé to my mom and small niece and we all had a blast!
It is typically pretty quiet if you go in the evening when there are no parties scheduled (which i prefer). Nobody really rushed you out or anything so it’s nice to go and just take your time painting while sipping some really yummy drinks! It’s just so darn cute in here too!
My fiancé are the type to just go into a place and be kind of left alone and that’s usually how it has been every time we go in, but if we ever do have questions or need something someone is right there and happy to help! Even if you are not so artsy and need a hand some one is always there to help you sketch something out on your pottery.
They also have the largest selection of pottery to paint that I have personally ever seen in a place like this. So much so that I feel the need to keep going back every weekend for something new to paint.
But really whether you are painting something for yourself or as a gift this is the place to go!

This place is a ton of fun with reasonable prices to paint pieces. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to be back and see how our pieces turned out! I love the fact that they have coffee and drinks to make spending time here a breeze! They even have ice scream! What’s not to love about this place? I definitely couldn’t think of any!

The idea is great, but the staff was not informative on the process. They were friendly the first night, just didn’t engage customers. We didn’t get to finish our pottery because they were closing. The night staff told my family to bring the receipt the next day to finish. We got charged a 2^nd time. The day staff was not empathetic at all, she blamed the misinformation on the night staff being new. A huge difference in service between employees.

Definitely love this place. This is the second time we’ve come here and it was just as fun as I remember!
Their selection of items to paint is huge! They have everything from little figurines, to plates, bowls, and mugs, to toothbrush holders, to outlet covers. Pretty much anything you can think of, they’ve got it!
The only downside is maybe their paint selection. They have quite a few colors, but if you really want something specific they may not have it. But, you can always mix colors or paint more (or less) layers to try to get it the way you want it.
The people who work there have never been any less than awesome. They’re all extremely friendly and will gladly help if you have any questions or need any help. They really know what they’re talking about!
Also the prices are very reasonable. I painted a pretty large mug and it was $ 15. One worker told us that there is always a flat rate of $ 8 each too (which apparently is a relatively new policy) but that’s awesome! It used to be $ 8 an hour unless they were running a special.
Art isn’t even one of the things I’m particularly good at, but I love this place. It’s great for dates, kids, or anyone really!

More fin than we thought it would be! Customer service is second to none, and it is a great date night with your friends, or an employee building exercise. We loved it and will be back!

Great coffee. Great owner. Great date spot. Specials throughout the week. I’ve been coming here for 14 years and love it! You can bring your own bottles of wine and kick back while painting pottery. There’s a rewards program for coffee now!

This place is awesome. I’ve always enjoyed painting and this place has so much to offer. Customer service is great. They also have great snacks and drinks. Get the frozen hot chocolate! my baby sister also enjoys their smoothies. This place is open for anyone of any age and I think that’s what’s so great.

My daughter loves painting pottery and this was the first thing on her to-​do-​list while visiting family in the area. We really enjoyed our visit here. First, they have a plethora of pieces to select from. We took our time selecting our pieces and during that time a staff member did approach is to make sure she answered any questions, if we had them. I loved that they had different seating options: tables, booths, the «bar» area, etc. we opted for a booth. They filled our paint pallet trays quickly and were always quick to refill them throughout our painting time. All of the employees were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The studio has a full range of fun beverages and yummy looking treats! We did end up getting some sodas while there. There was fun music (soothing) in the background and the environment as a whole felt creative and relaxing. Our pieces were ready to pick up just a few days later which was nice considering it was a holiday week. Thanks for the wonderfully fun experience!

I’ve been going to You Do The Dishes since I was in 5^th grade and I have never been disappointed.
The staff is always helpful, friendly & they never hesitate walking you through the process if you’re a first timer.
They offer a terrific pottery selection; I mean seriously they have it all!
They also have a whole wall of paints to choose from as well as different brushes, stencils, and sponges!
The intricate designs on the doors and windows pull you in, the music is charming and the warm colors of interior walls make you feel right at home while you’re painting. They also have delicious treats and coffee to help keep your creative juices flowing!
I do suggest checking out their website or calling for their list of daily specials as they charge an $ 8 fee by the hour (when they aren’t running a special) along with the price of the piece that you paint!

Took the kids last night and had a really nice time.
This paint your own is much larger than others I’ve been to — a plus. They also have an extensive drink menu (including Buddy Brew coffee) a couple treats and IceCream that you can buy.
One we got going everything was fine. However they had a couple house rules that were reasonable but we were unaware of as no one was available to greet us and walk us through the process. Took a star away for that and the awkwardness of the situation.

We have been coming here since moving to Tampa three years ago. This cute studio is located in a New Tampa strip mall on the corner of Bruce B. Downs Blvd and Amberly Drive. Grab a piece of pottery and let your artistic juices flow. They have a plethora of pieces to choose from — anything from a coffee cup to salsa dish. Pick out your paint and begin. They glaze and fire it. Piece ready in 3 to 5 days. While there enjoy delicious coffee, tea, ice cream, etc. Great place to have birthday parties, baby showers, girls night out or whatever party you maybe planning. My daughter just had her birthday party here — she says this was her best party yet! The staff here bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. The owner Cindy Kozlowski is very accommodating and super friendly.
Only other recommendation I can offer — Be prepared to have fun!

Awesome place!!! Be creative with pottery and drink your own wine. The staff is helpful the people are wonderful.

I have always enjoyed my time in YDTD. They have great specials throughout the week and a whole a lot of selection options for every taste. Lots of colors to choose from too.
They also have delicious snacking options to keep you going as you work on your art work.
It is great for girls night out, parties for younger individuals and even dare I say? Your date. It even makes for personalized and wonderful gifts for any occasion.
They will call you once your piece is ready for pick up.

Love this place! I go about once a month with different friends and it’s never disappointed. Great selection, good pricing and a soothing atmosphere. Their shakes are amazing as well. Super helpful staff.

Huuuuuge selection of pieces to paint, from figurines to every dish you could want. They have a ton of paint colors and lots of stencils, sponges and different sized brushes for use.
The staff was really nice and filled up my paint tray a gagillion times. They were slammed since it was a Saturday and they had a birthday party on top of regular customers but I never had to wait. Since the tables were full we sat on the couch and coffee table which the staff was fine with, as long as we covered it with paper.
You can enjoy coffee or smoothies while you paint and sit at the bar instead of a table. They charge for the piece you paint (which are all priced really cheap compared to what I’m used too) plus a painting fee. Our group of three painted a small elephant figurine, an espressos cup and saucer and a large 3 piece tea pot and the total came out to around $ 60.

We stumbled upon this place by mistake. It’s kinda hidden. I would say a hidden jewel. I walked in didn’t know what to expect given the strange name. It was an amazing little coffee shop with pottery painting. I ordered some coffee and got a pastry and say down to paint. Haven’t done that since high school so this was an exciting experience. I would def recommend this place.
