Stopped in after a great day of skiing at Taos. Lots of flavors. We sampled a few and really enjoyed the experience.

In the world of ice cream, old standards like Haggen Daz, Baskin Robbin and now the amazing Gelatos like Grome from Italy… We have Taos Cow. a little shop in the way to Taos Ski resort. They are right up with the Santa Barbara McConnels ice cream company that former President Reagan frequented(they say). Taos Cow ice cream was Very Very good. downside. no other outlets yet. hear they are looking to have a second location. and not available in California. If in the area of Taos. make the trip. Good coffee at the location as well.

The ice cream is very good. The location is fantastic. Eating your ice cream by the creek is a real pleasure. The staff is so friendly and helpful. My daughter dropped her cone… the tragedies that befall a 3 year old. I went back in to buy her a new one, but they gave it to me for free despite me having the money in my hand.

Great place for real ice cream. Great baked goods. Great for breakfast and lunch. Rio Grande Ice cream is the best. You can get ice cream to go too. Everything made fresh to order. Eat outside or in. Art work to check out inside.

Great place for a quick breakfast. Enjoyed the scramlet — scrambled eggs/omlette with choice of meat, cheese, toppings. Gluten free cookies offered. Try the chocolate chip with pecans — a real treat! Plain chocolate chip was not as good.

Such a relaxed place with great, friendly service and delightful menu. Breakfast sandwich large enough for two and definitely enjoy the Samlet. They make ice cream and have some gluten free options

Excited to try Taos Cow on our first trip to visit NM. My husband tried the pistachio white chocolate chip and I had mint chocolate chip. The ice cream was average-good quality chips, but the ice cream itself wasn’t very creamy and was below average. We both ordered kids sized portions and were charged for full scoops($ 4.50-overpriced). THEN, my husband paid without mentioning the overcharge and the manager said«what, no tip.» Absolutely terrible customer service with below average, overpriced ice cream. Go somewhere else!

The ice cream is worth driving way out of your way for, as we did, driving the 15 minutes from town just to get some of this goodness. I got the pistachio ice cream with white chocolate chunks and needless to say, it was divine. The ice cream is so rich and seems to come from the finest of cows and the blend of ingredients were just perfect. My wife loved my pistachio so much that she got a scoop of this and another chocolate chunk scoop. She loved it. We also liked the outdoor seating and the little stream nearby that we could sit around and enjoy some peace and quiet. What we didn’t like were the SERVICE folks in here that don’t seem to understand their job and what it entails. We got cold hard stares as we sized up the ice cream and none of the friendly banter you’d expect from a place that serves ice cream. Then, to top it off, when we went to pay, another guy that appeared to be an owner or manager demonstrated to us why the other staff probably have such bad attitudes. This guy too looked upon everyone with contempt. An out-of-town tourist tried to make conversation with him and it got pretty much nowhere. She mentioned something about working in touristy restaurants in New Orleans and then paid for her goods. As she walked away, the guy turned to us and said«All that talk about working in the industry and she still didn’t tip,» in a manner that was both scornful and sarcastic. Though part of me sympathized with his sentiments, I didn’t appreciate him saying it in front of us for a number of reasons: 1) He pretty much put us on the spot to tip. 2)He very easily could have said something negative about us and our $ 1 tip. 3) The service in here ain’t that great, so it’s not exactly like these folks are earning their tips. Bottom line, it bothered me and it’s bad business.

Great place, friendly vibe and amazing ice-cream(which you can sample before you buy!). Awesome stop-off for breakfast or lunch.
