I bought my first pair of ski boots from BootDoctors this summer. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They took into account many details about my level and skiing experience and matched me with the best brand for my size and abilities. They allowed me to pay for the boots in a payment plan over the summer and by ski season I picked them up without a problem! They are open year round and have a wonderful selection of ski clothes and gear. I’m always tempted to splurge when I go in. The only thing I didn’t like is that the female staff were a little pushy when I inquired about apparel and felt pressure to make purchases on clothing. Other than that, Bootdoctors is hands down the best place to go if you’re looking for ski boots and I feel lucky they are in Taos!

Great Service! I wasn’t going to ski because my old boots hurt so much! Trenton saved the day. He understood my feet, my skiing style and knows his boots! I skied with my new boots and had no problems! Well actually a minor problem, which I took back and Trenton fixed it! Good prices and Good Service. They know their stuff!

The boot fitter insisted on using a brand boot that turned out to no longer be in business. The boot was not compatible with the bindings that were being used and when we attempted to return the boots the owner proceeded to complain about how he does not make money on alpine touring gear and accused me of price shopping. I had bindings mounted for that boot(before the release issue was discovered) which resulted in having to buy new boots and remount bindings costing several hundred dollars from their mistake. They did eventually give a full refund for the boot but treated us poorly and were not interested in correcting a mistake that could have resulted in catastrophic injury.

Do not purchase anything on mail order from this company. I ordered a $ 700 jacket and decided to cancel the order prior to the Boot Doctors even shipping my order. I was informed that I would only receive store credit for the purchase that I never received. After talking with the manager I was told I’d be charged a 10% restocking fee or $ 70 plus shipping on this purchase that I never received. Based on that I decided to take delivery of the order and asked them to ship it to me. Unfortunately the jacket arrived and was too small for me. I called the store and they did not have a larger size nor did they have any other jackets that were going to suit my needs. After discussing this again with the manager I was still charged a $ 70 restocking fee on this order. Terrible customer service.

Went in 3 times everyone was super nice & helpful got some sweet knee pads and wrist guards to help with the pain of learning to snowboard. They carry high end products which aren’t cheap but the prices aren’t inflated either.

Hooked me up with Intuition liners for my Solomon XScream 9.0s. Referred by the manufacturer. Got in late in the day after traveling and they got it done. Very experienced boot fitters. The new liners performed exactly as they said they would, including exactly how long they would take to break in. I had to prompt them to check their stock and order the liners, but everything went down perfectly after that.
