Kit Carson has decided that the new customer is a «tank» not a person. I’m new to the area and was getting the tank filled for the first time. I was told that new customers receive a price of 1.79 a gallon. I had to have my landlord call in and ok the switch to my name. I did everything I was asked to do. Then when I called to place my order I was informed I wasn’t a new customer because the tank was already there. Apparently the tank is the customer not me. And of course the price is much higher(2.67 or something like that) per gallon. So they treat existing loyal customers poorly by giving them a much higher rate. That is lousy customer service. I’m not an existing customer, I’m new. But I can’t get the lower price. If the other propane companies do the same thing then I can see why people switch companies regularly. I know I’ll be looking next time around for the best rate. If I have to switch tanks every year, so be it. Why should I be loyal if they treat their existing customers this way. And treat the tank as the customer, not the person paying the bill.
