Second day was more eventful. Both hosts were more conversationally cognizant. Made for a more interesting breakfast. The picture was what we had for the morning. Discovered they had DENEEN coffee mugs which I collect. I managed to talk one out of the host possession, for a fee of course. Anywho trip turned out to be a winner. Just remember, a bad trip still beats a good day at work.

Nice location, short walk to the square. The little casita provides a bit more privacy. Breakfasts are excellent, and they leave food/water/coffee out at night for snacking. The room was pretty decent, kind of had the small guest house feel. Things are a bit dated in each of the rooms, but for the most part they are pretty well kept up. There is a coffee maker in the room, and they do provide coffee. Parking in front is pretty tight, the back parking lot is fine. The one drawback to the place is that they do not answer the phones, especially after 5pm. If you need to make a change to a reservation, or show up late, pretty much they aren’t interested in helping out. Not sure… there is a weird customer service vibe from the owners. It was very nice… but I think next time we’ll check on something else in town to see what’s available. After I saw how a few late guests were treated, and how no one answered when we called… well ya know, there is a bit of a lesson in that.

I rushed to the door as fast as I could because the Unilocal check in said they closed at 10 but the door says they are only there between2 and 4. So my check in deadline for my $ 20 gas card should still be good in the morning. I hope so because it’s my way out of Taos I have been stuck here since last Wednesday. I haven’t eaten in days and no gas. I’m starving no one wants to help so hopefully this business will honor the offer.

A very nice place to stay. I can see why others on other travel sites rated it so highly. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The breakfasts were delicious, though they work best for those with a social spirit given that the meal is served in a group setting with others staying at the inn. The keepers were very approachable and they made sure our stay was everything we hoped it would be. The business is near the town’s main shopping areas and is well within walking distance to most things the town has to offer. I would have given it a five star rating if it hadn’t been for the dingy bathroom(i.e. — some sort of a liquid and strands of hair in the bathroom walls). I’ll be back.

La Posada is in a great location, walking distance to shopping and restaurants in central Taos. The hosts, Brad and Michael, are interesting and welcoming. The breakfasts Michael prepared were varied and flavorful. It’s evident that he takes care in the selection of his ingredients. He also took care of guests with dietary restrictions and preferences. Brad’s love for Taos and its lifestyle also shine through. He is very knowledgeable and was very willing to give suggestions about where to eat, what to do and see. We enjoyed his company at the community breakfast table.

Arrived here by pure chance and I was not disappointed. This a magical oasis in Taos. It is exactly what one imagines when one thinks«Taos». The property is gorgeous and consists of a main house and unattached«Casitas». Everything is done with taste and thought. What makes this place a cut above are the Inn Keepers — Brad and Michael. They are helpful and gracious, and yet casual and welcoming. You can see the labor of love this place has become to them. That warmth permeates everything. Breakfast IS gourmet. Made me tired just to think about the amount of work Michael puts into it every day. Frankly, the biggest downside is that you will want to just hang out and skip the Taous tourist destinations. It’s that good. I also thought the price was excellent. With what you pay today for soulless national chains + plus real breakfast, you can stay in paradise.
