This store has the best customer service! I went there seeking information about a chainsaw I had read about on the Internet. Jay was so amazingly patient with me as I asked the most basic of questions(like ‘how should I hold it to start it?’). You see, I had never thought much about ever owning a chainsaw — my husband always did that. But since he now has a pacemaker,(and pacemakers and chainsaws are a very bad combination) and we inherited my grandparents’ land, someone needs to be able to run a chainsaw in order to clear a bit of land for a new house. Jay spent quite a bit of time explaining the safety features of these Echo saws. All I knew was that chainsaws were very dangerous. He explained what ‘kickback’ is and how it happens. He was concerned about whether I’d have anyone to help me with this project. Would I need a chainsaw for more than this project(yes). He also wanted to know the size of tree I’d be taking down in order to get the proper size saw. We went to one other place looking at Huskvarna chainsaws. The sales guy was nice but didn’t know anything about the safety guard that helps prevent kickback. He said he never had a saw kickback so it was no big problem. Being frightened of operating a chainsaw made it a big deal for me! So needless to say, I bought my chainsaw from J&J Power Equipment. Jay filled the tank, made sure it started and told me to be careful! That afternoon, I successfully and safely felled 5 trees and cut them into 18″ sections. There was at least one instance where that kickback guard came in very handy. I look forward now to being able to clear enough trees for the house, and will be able to rely on Jay to sharpen the blade when needed!
