Loved this place. Food is very good and service is prompt and knowledgeable. Very nice water views as well. Whole red snapper was a little pricy, but very good. OPA!

Late lunch on a Saturday — still a 20 minute wait at 2 — guessing this place is always packed. Friendly staff, great view of the water, food I ordered(greek salad, eggplant spread with pita) was average. Disappointed with the greek salad — nothing beyond a typical diner/coney greek salad and the potato salad was way too creamy(no texture, just a lot of mayo/sour cream). I was hoping for a more special/gourmet greek salad. The cold eggplant/onion dip was good but not great and a small portion for $ 8. The complimentary wheat bread with balsamic/seasoned dipping oil was very good. Prices are high for the quality. I’m not much for bustling touristy areas so probably won’t return.

Excellent fish and seafood. Second time I’ve eaten here, first was a few years ago on my last visit to Tampa. Both times, our entire party raved about both the food and the setting.(We ate outside on the water.) The calamari was the best I’ve ever had. The grouper sandwich was excellent. I’ve never seen a 55 gallon drum of olive oil before!(Yes, they serve olive oil and seasoning with the bread.)

Good food. We sat right by the water which was nice. A lot of people were saying the service was poor but we got our food fairly quick. And. They helped us out with the sponge tour.

Good food, very slow service. The day we came by the restaurant was packed and our sever barely came by to attend us.

Kind of a tourist trap good location but bad food and service both times I’ve been here. In the past it’s been closed for failing inspections. Not sure if they’ve «cleaned» up their act yet???

Was greeted by the owner and given a nice table outside. Outstanding food and service! They even feed the catfish all the leftover bread which was fun to watch! The rack of lamb was the best I have ever had! Very enjoyable and I will be going back!

I’ve discovered that if you come here with a Greek-speaking-regular, the experience goes from 4 – 5 stars all the way to a previously unattainable 6! With Achilleas, our friend straight from Greece, the proprietors and waiters stop what they are doing, greet all of us no matter how huge our party, and give us the best table(reservations of course!) in the house. Friendly hugs, handshakes, and salutations are offered all around! Then, let the experience begin! No menu is allowed because they simply offer everything they have. Only the best! From appetizers to entrees, we sample every flavor and consistency Greece has to offer. I’ve enjoyed every incredible meal and we look forward to the next!

Best authentic Greek food outside of Greece! Sitting on the water was just a bonus! Staff is friendly and aims to please!

Food was great. Service was very poor. The waitress had way too many tables to keep track of. We felt really bad for her because she couldn’t keep up with it all.

Wow! I would give this restaurant 10 stars but only could give it 5 stars. We have been away for 15 years and we’re looking for good Greek food. We ordered the seafood combination and the gyro platter. Awesome. Great quality and quantity. Service was great and the wine selection great. It’s definitely on our list for return and recommendations. Thanks for a great meal!

I had the grilled octopus and dandelion greens. I had never had either before. The greens were cooked with just the right amount of lemon and olive oil. The octopus was grilled to perfection. It was fantastic. The view was perfect of the water. It was a very relaxing evening. The service could not have been better. I can’t wait to come back. I just brought my husband here. We had the Red Snapper. The skin was crisp. Best fish ever. I like it more than Mahi Mahi. It has a very nice texture.

What a jewel. Went in for dinner and was not sorry I did. Small and cozy family owned. Wonder staff and the food was awesome. Ordered the gyro sandwich and so did my wife. HUGE with more than plenty of meat. I think two people can share this sandwich Aldo got the Greek oven potatoes so delicious. My daughter got the vegetarian plate which was just excellent. Waitress was very friendly«Jennifer» everything was delivered promptly and she keep dinner moving along. Once finished Jennifer asked if we were getting dessert, but no way we were stuffed. To our surprise chest sent a wonderful and very simple summer dessert on the house granny apples drizzled with honey and sprinkled with cinnamon so delightful. Can not wait to go back.

Very good food. The location on the water is extraordinary!!! Try to come for dinner to see the sunset. Just one comment on their Greek Salad… Not very Greek(potato?) beside it every dish was delicious and authentic. The broiled fish was amazing

The level of service of Dimitri’s is what keeps us coming back. They are right on the main strip in Tarpon Springs, mixed among all the other Greek restaurants in the area. We got a table near the water and that was mistake number one. While Dimitri’s does feature a fabulous sunset view, at some point, that sun lands right in your eyes. Not a huge deal. The other issue with sitting outside however is the horrific smell of oil, gasoline and rotting fish. This isn’t coming from Dimitri’s of course, but from the fishing boats and marina that is nearby. The smell can be VERY overpowering if you are sensitive to it. Still, don’t let that deter you from going to Dimitri’s for lunch or dinner. It’s nice to sit out back and watch the boats go by, catch the sunset and just relax. We ordered the hummus appetizer which was very tasty. I ordered a very large greek salad for my main course which was absolutely fantastic. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the rack of lamb and was very happy with it. I would strongly suggest staying away from here during happy hour unless it is your intention to get your drink on. It gets really, really crowded in here around happy hour and it gets very loud in there. I think Dimitri’s is one of those hit or miss places. Some people rave about it while others can take it or leave it. Others still are very disappointed by it. However, we have been there several times and have really never had a bad experience. Good service makes up for a plethora of sins and their service is really always on the money. The few times I have had items on the menu I wasn’t particularly crazy about it, they returned it to the kitchen and accommodated us with something else on the menu. Dimitri’s is actually my preference over the more popular Hella’s in that same area. Both places have very good food and their atmosphere is as different as night and day, but I have found that I can have a more peaceful dinner at Dimitri’s than at Hella’s which now has their dessert bakery area and can end up like a circus of people pushing through you to get to that area. It’s really just a personal preference thing.

Dimitri’s is located in Tarpon Springs a little green village west of Tampa. The restaurant has«classic» greek fares and seafood. We choose Dimitri’s for its«by the sea» location and beautiful outdoor space over looking the water. The menu has classic greek plates such as gyro, spanakopita, chicken souvlaki among many more. Our party of six ordered a greek red wine that was really good, however, our server has zero knowledge of wine pouring and opened the bottle, did not give the cork or gave the head of the table the opportunity to taste it, and just poured FULL glasses of wine to everyone. We ordered for appetizers the calamari which were very greasy, the grilled octopus which was really good and I recommend and the goat cheese flambé which was excellent. For entrees i ordered the chicken souvlaki and my bf the pork souvlaki. Both were average to poor. Dry dry meat, store bought pita and the tZatziki was very very sour. Don’t even ordered the rice… Horrible mushy yellow rice. The rest of the table ordered the fried fish of the day and they all complained about the lack of seasoning. We obviously skipped dessert. Two stars for the beautiful scenery.

We came to TS for the day and of course, to eat at Dimitri’s. This is a terrific place to eat, with fresh seafood and attentive staff with a nice view of the inlet. Honestly, Dimitri’s is the only reason that we come to TS. Hella’s has gone downhill with thier product these days. Order anything you want here. It is excellent. The calamari is tender and the hummus is good also. The gyro is also a terrific choice. Enjoy!

My first time eating in Tarpon Springs. Everyone suggests Hella’s but it was packed. This place was across the street with a water view. I wasn’t in the mood for a big dinner so I had a chicken slovaki wrap. Basically a grilled cubed chicken gyro with raw onions and sauce. It was decent. My husband had chicken fingers since he has no sense of adventure but they were the thickest strips I have ever seen and very tasty!
