Recently moved. Was a little let down that they no longer had the grocery, but sat for a taco any way. Got the barbacoa and I got to say, was pretty damn good! Not sure about the rest of the menu, but I will be back for sure to try out more!

Stopped by again this afternoon, and thought I’d taste test the tacos. The sunshine made the interior look much nicer, and took away some of the dinginess I noticed during my night visit. I ordered the steak and pastor(marinated pork) taco Mexican-style with just cilantro and onions. Neither impressed me too much, as the meat in both was a bit dry and had little flavor. I’d give each a food score of 2. Since i had the huaraches with carnitas(pulled pork) on the first visit and found the meat very good, I ordered up a carnitas taco for a final taste. It was very good, with nice pork flavor easily matching the first visit. I’d give this taco a taste test of 4. My suggestion is, if you can’t get to the awesome Cielito Lindo(highly recommended) which is just a few miles away(but only open until 5 pm), and you absolutely need some Mexican tastes, El Texano can fulfill that need as long as you stay with the pulled pork, and stay away from any fried tortillas(i.e. stick with the warm/grilled tortillas).
