Stopped by yesterday after seeing he great reviews. Went around 6 pm. I wouldn’t go back. The macaroni and cheese was the worst I have ever eaten. It was over cooked elbows loaded in butter with cheese sprinkled on top. The potato salad was good. There was no corn bread served with the meal. The ribs were very good but the pulled pork was nothing special. Lacked seasoning. There were 3 bbq sauces — tangy, spicy, sweet. The tangy was too sweet. For dessert we had the blubbery cobbler which was the corner piece– must have been the last piece. Small size and hardly any blueberries. Sorry won’t be back

Excellent BBQ in Tarpon. We had some of the basics(brisket, pulled pork), and the everything was great. The brisket was smoked to perfection. We have had a lot of different places for BBQ, and these guys do Kansas City just right. Anyone looking for great BBQ made the way it is supposed to be made, should try this.

Good little BBQ place in Tarpon Springs. Only open Friday & Saturday. A little tough to find but worth checking out. We got the combo which was perfect since it came with all 3 of their smokey meat goodness;) meats. Great for sharing. My husband’s favorite was the brisket which tender and very good. Nice hint of smokiness. I really enjoyed the ribs. Other reviewers nailed it when they said the meat falls off the bone & there was plenty of it. Pulled pork was good but did have an unexpected hint of sweetness without even putting sauce on it. It got 4 stars since I didn’t like the mac & cheese or beans which were our sides. Next time I’d try the coleslaw;) Prices were fair. A bit hard to find Its on 19 across from the Ford dealership. Worth trying.

Very good barbecue with fall off the bone ribs great pulled park and brisket. Cole slaw And beans were good. Friendly staff can’t wait for them to move to their new location so they hopefully will be open a little later

This little shack has some serious barbecue! In fact, Mike had garnered many awards in barbecue contests, you need to see all the ribbons hanging on the wall. He and Nancy are a very nice couple, and treat us like friends. Their brisket is among the best we’ve ever tried: moist, tender and flavorful. I’d like a little more spice rub on the outside but this is as perfect a brisket as can be. No wonder it has won best brisket in some contests. The ribs are juicy, but as they are baby backs, not as flavorful as pork ribs. The pulled pork has a mildly sweet taste and is quite succulent. Chicken is nicely done as well. According to Mike, the meat takes up to 15 hours to make, using a combination of smoker and oven to achieve the perfect flavor and texture. The sides though, aren’t exactly 5 stars. We’ve tried collard green, beans and cole slaw. Not bad, just nothing to rave about. However, the brisket, definitely will have me back for more. Drinks are ridiculously cheap. A can of soda is $ 1 and beer $ 3. Currently this place is only open on Fridays and Saturdays, as Mike has a regular day job. However, in a few months they will be moving operation to downtown Tarpon Springs, where it will be easier for BBQ lovers to indulge in some of the best BBQ around!

Excellent Greek salad, full with fresh and green lettuce sweet ripe tomatoes, plenty of cucumber Greek olives excellent feta, anchovies and a dressing which complements and adds finishing touch. Feta and spinach pie for appetizer so delicious and portion size could easily be your main course. Instead was served as appetizer. For a entrée my hobby got gigantic Gyro plate. It was the best Gyro he ever had. I got fresh broiled grouper with roasted potatoes. Whole delicious fish I couldn’t finish even I wanted. On the end we got served two slices of custard desert!!! Best bbq in Florida. NOT kidding. Fall off the bone ribs… get the whole rack… and wonderful pulled pork. Get the coleslaw… it has apples in it. A bbq fan? This place is for you.

I’ve reviewed this place once but I’ve been getting there burnt ends and their brisket, it is the best I have ever had. I’d rather they were open more. Unbelievable

I live in Palm harbor and was in need of a great BBQ place. I ate the baby back ribs. The smoke on the meat was awesome and the meat feel off the bone. Super tender and the hot BBQ sauce and tangy BBQ sauce complement the meat very well. My wife ate the pulled pork and enjoyed it. And my son ate some of my ribs and the half chicken. The flavor was off the charts and excited to tackle the brisket next time.

Saw the sign as I was driving by so decided to try it out and right as I walked in I was greeted my a lovely hosted and there was a lot of choices to pick from and the food was amazing and the prices where good. All together I was impressed by this restaurant will definitely be coming back soon.

Authentic BBQ worth the wait(wait is they are open only on Fridays and Saturdays.)You won’t be disappointed with any of their offerings and I would rate this as one of the top BBQ places in Tarpon Springs and Tampa. Owners are great people who will make sure you are completely satisfied. Brisket and pulled pork are must haves and the desserts are especially yummy. Highly recommend!

My husband and I lived in north Florida and Texas in the past and got spoiled by good bbq. I discovered my love of brisket after living in Texas. But now back in central Florida, it has been a disappointing quest for a good BBQ place. Tried KCBBQ today – fairly new place less than 5 miles from home… and can happily say, it was not disappointing at all. We ordered to go for the family – Had Ribs, brisket and pulled pork, sides of slaw, baked beans and collard greens and spicy bbq sauce. All was very good – definitely the best we have found in Pinellas county. Order was packaged well and correctly, which is also appreciated when doing take out.

I have been meaning to try this place for a long time. And I’m usually not want to bother with reviews. But this place is is really good I got a rack of ribs and the brisket. As an over the road truck driver I’ve tried barbecue everywhere and this is as good or better than any I’ve ever had. I got to sample their chicken wings that’s what I’ll be getting next weekend. Not a real fancy place but who cares

I finally was off work early enough to check out this lil gem! Tucked behind the big blue Ferguson supply building is some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a while! I called around 6:35 to see if I could still pick up since I knew they closed at 7. The woman reassured me that last minute orders were no problem. They have a few mismatched patio tables outside but inside almost feels like you’re sitting in Grandma’s kitchen. Just a very homey feel! I got the pulled pork/3 rib combo. It came with baked beans, potato salad(they ran out of coleslaw) and Texas toast. They offer tangy, sweet or spicy sauces. The sauces are very similar to Sonny’s, thick tomato based and yummy. I forgot to ask if they were made in house. The pulled pork was more like shredded and served dry so you can add the sauce of your choice. So good! I tried it with both tangy and sweet but couldn’t pick a favorite! The ribs, omg, they were so tender, meaty and smoke-ringy(…it’s a word now!) I ate them with a freaking plastic fork! Didn’t have to pick them up or get all messy! The potato salad was decent. The beans had thickened up throughout the day and were pretty molassesy in both flavor and consistency. Overall, awesome BBQ. The sides could use some minor tweaks but that would only improve on an already great place. Sorry guys, had to dock you a star cuz your only open 8HOURS A WEEK!

This place just opened not to long ago so I decided to try it out. We don’t have a lot of bar-b-q joints around here and the ones we dont have dont taste like real authentic bar-b-q. This place is great. For my first trip I got a brisket sandwich and some pulled pork chili. I have to say this food is awesome. It has a great smokey flavor and taste as good as the best bar-b-q I’ve had before. I can’t wait to taste their other food. The owner also took me out to show me his smoker and it is awesome. He had about 4 briskets and 8 pork butts cooking and they looked delicious. He also has 2 more cabinets on his cooker that were unused so I’m sure he can fit much much more. All in all I highly recommend this place to anyone. The only downside is that they are only open on Saturdays from 11 – 7. But its just something to look forward to on the weekend.
