Amazing gyros! I like how the meat was cooked and had a couple of crispy pieces. My parents owned a Greek restaurant in Tampa for years and I haven’t had a good gyro since it closed until I ate here. The outside eating area was right in the water and it as fun to watch the boats go by. But watch out for the seagulls stealing your food; my young son found this to be the highlight of the meal though. The prices were better than anywhere else in the Sponge Docks.

Every time I visit Tarpon Springs, I HAVE to get a Gyro Pita at Limani. The food is always fresh! I recommend everyone try this place out.

In my opinion this little quant place is not only right on the water, but it’s the number one place to get chicken souvlaki and/or gyro pitas in Tarpon Springs! I believe the owner is one of the gentlemen that works there and he is always so nice and happy. I love supporting local business like these!

We love Greek food, where we live there are no options, thankfully we picked THE perfect place for our dinner. We were passing through, and decided to try this place. AMAZING! The seating is on the dock. The gentleman that cooked our food was incredibly friendly and we were overwhelmed with amazing food and atmosphere. Don’t let looks deceive you, this place is small, but phenomenal

Best food very tasty in great atmosphere! Small place near the water surrounded by lots of noisy birds waiting for their share. The right place for short stop after long walking the many shops.

Don’t be turned off by how tiny this place is! It’s so delicious. Even my picky parents loved it. This is real Greek food. I got the the veggie gyro, but my father got the chicken gyro and the meat look yummy. Definitely not frozen.

This place may look like a run down, hole in the wall, however the food is great. I have been here twice, both times that I went to Tarpon Springs. I went on the Odessy Cruise both times(I have family in other states that came to visit so I took them here). Both times that My Family and I have eaten here, the food has been great. I had the GYRO and Greek Fries both times, and it was delicious. In addition, the amount of food you get for the price is pretty good. It may seem expensive paying over $ 6 for a Gyro, it is worth it. The food is freshly prepared and made to order. The pita is PACKED with meat, as well as the usual tomatoes, onions, sauce, etc. Also as I mentioned the food is awesome. Today when I went My Grandfather decided to have the cheeseburger instead, This was also made to order, was very large for the price, and he said it was wonderful. The staff here is also very kind. We had a large group, and the head cook was outside wiping down the tables when we walked up. As soon as he saw we were going to order, he took 2 tables and put them together for us, as well as grabbing enough chairs for all of us to sit together without even asking. He also made sure that we had everything that we needed(napkins, ketchup, forks, etc.) after we picked up our food. If you are ever in Tarpon Springs I would definatly stop here for some food. I can’t remember if the«The Limani» sign is still painted above the windows, since I really wasn’t paying attention, however it’s not hard to find. It’s a great place to stop and eat, especially if you are going on the Odessy Cruise since it is right next door.

I’ve lived in Tarpon Springs for the last 4 years. I was born in Greece(Fun fact!) and I keep hearing that I need to try the Limani. It is a hole in the wall, but they are known to have the best tasting gyro and souvlaki. I’ve kind of been ambivalent about it this whole time. until today. They’re RIGHT! Today I took mom down to the docks to try something new. We decided to go to The Limani, and lo and behold, the stories are true. Spit roasted Gyro and fresh, cooked to order souvlaki are absolutely delicious, especially when paired with the rich tatziki sauce, decadent with cucumber and garlic it is certainly hard to beat. The outside seating and water views make this place a winner in my book. Today was a perfectly mild afternoon so the breeze and the seagulls(Sea bullies) made for a lovely time to chat with mom and make acquaintences with 2 visitors from Chicago. Will I be back? You can bet that I will be. I’m a convert!

This quaint, unassuming waterfront Foodies delight, serves up — by FAR one of the best meals you can find smack dab on the Sponge Docks. Sea gull bandits perched and patiently wait for scraps only adds to the great outdoor food experience. As I buried my face in the massive salad and feasted on the succulent chicken kabobs,(well marinated and braised with herbs). I couldn’t stop eating the Greek Fries which were well worth breaking my diet for 10th time this week. High quality ingredients — especially the tomatoes, feta and gyro are exceptional. The burgers and hot dogs extra juicy. Great meal, great ambiance… go for it! Limani we think you are the best !!! Thank you for a great meal!

The best gyros and Greek village salad around. And the owner and staff make you feel like family.

Fresh and very delicious! Totally authentic and VERY kind and hard working owner! Pleasant outdoor seating overlooking water! Better than being stuck sitting indoor at the near by restaurants.

This is my favorite place to get my Souvlaki Pitas in Greek town. It’s the closest you’re going to get to the real deal. I have not tried the Gyro, but the Pork, Chicken or Greek Burger Pita are the closest to the way they make them in Greece. This is also skewer style(not off the spit) that’s marinated in olive oil, lemon, salt and oregano and thrown on the grill. The smell reminds me of Greece when you’re walking through the town center and u can smell all the little hole in wall places while passing by:-) it really makes me miss Greece. I love the fries w/oregano, and even better, the ones with oregano and feta sprinkled on top. Now this is not a restaurant, just a stand, but they do have seating on the side or at the back of the gift shop overlooking the water. The only thing I wasn’t that over the moon about was the Greek Salad. No… real authentic Greek Salad does not contain Potato salad, but this one needed some, or at least a more flavorful Greek Dressing, or how about both? The salad was Fresh & Crisp, but the dressing was like tasteless vinegar, and needed ooomph. They can do better than that.

Don’t pass this unassuming little kiosk. The food is dynamite. I’m health conscious so I always get the same thing– the chicken kabob. Who knew that a skewer of chicken could be so delicious. Perfect char with a lemon oregano sauce– wow. I keep coming back for more. The portions are big, the prices are not. Others enjoy the souvlaki and the super sized gyros. No skimping. The owner could not have been kinder– he came out to say hello to my very elderly mom– he didn’t even know her and came out to give her a hug and kind words as though she were family. Made her day! Food is fabulous. Avoid the tourist traps, order at the kiosk and seat yourself at a waterside table. Very very informal. So worth it.

Awful service Ate here at Unilocal’s recommendations. The food was okay, and eating by the water was nice, but good gosh the service was dreadful. Out of pork. Okay. No chicken. Okay. Served their friends/regulars looong before us tourists. Forgot 2 of our entrees that we were charged for. Then said they forgot to charge us for a 3rd one. No receipts, cash only. Simple math says there’s no way we didn’t pay for at least 2 of the 3, but they don’t listen to simple math and the customer I guess is never right. Stay away!

CASHONLY This little stand has extraordinary food. We tried the gyro and the pork souvlaki and both were enormous and only $ 6.50 each. I have never tried a better gyro and the pork was well-seasoned and tasty. It’s right by the water and the sponge docks so it’s a cute little spot to sit and people watch.

If you’re in Tarpon, do not waste your time with the«touristy» establishments. You can’t get a rack of lamb or(flaming cheese) here, but so what?! They have the best location, food, service, everything. Bring cash. The couple that owns this place are amazingly sweet and we never leave unhappy. It looks like it’s just a little shack on the water, but it’s amazing. I swear by the gigantic Gyro and my friends love pigging out on the souvlaki platter. They even have the best fries in Tarpon! Really good prices. The music is great and the view is pretty good. Good for checking the water out and people watching. This is where the locals go. My only complaints: Restroom is a little awkward and sometimes the seagulls taunt you for your food.
