Absolute Party Store

It’s a decent place for parties and supplies but super pricey in my opinion. The lady did go out of her way to try and help me find a costume in April.

The worst customer service I’ve ever had at a party store. I bought 12 balloons for my dad’s birthday and as soon as I brought them into my house, a majority of them popped. Cheap balloons. Then the manager told me he couldn’t do anything about it and that it was basically my fault that the balloons popped. I won’t be returning

Good selection of everything, but the service was very unfriendly. I left the store without ordering anything.
Maybe the guy was tired but it felt as if you were not welcome at the store.
This is how small shops lose business to corporations.

I ordered balloons for a bridal shower with Paul and he was extremely accommodating! Listened to what I wanted and produced the most beautiful balloons for us! They were ready perfectly on time and everyone was on awe of how great they looked!!!

I personally love supporting small businesses which is how I came across this party store when planning a surprise baby shower for my friend. They have everything you need and their prices are phenomenal! The owner, Paul was extremely helpful in assisting me and helping me put together a color scheme (which I really needed help with). He even suggested and showed me items which I never even thought of myself. Love this place and will definitely recommend to all of my friends!

I came here close to the time of Halloween for a costume. This was kind of a hope for a banana suit which everyone was sold out on.
They did have a banana suit that was not my size!
The store is small, but they had costumes that other stores didn’t have which made the travel worth it. After all, I could have gotten a mask on the wall which other stores were running low on.
Good stop by, next time I won’t go last minute for Halloween.

I needed some assistance and Paul told me to get the F out. As soon as I realized this place hires drunks I just walked away. One star, and that’s still a star you don’t deserve, for customer service, attitude, lack of ethics, and of course being extremely rude to another human being. Have a great day and hopefully this will be one of the honest comments that stays. These others look a little sugar coated.

Wanted some cute and original balloons arrangements for my birthday and was so happy I decided to come to Absolute Party Store. Paul helped me come up with an amazing balloon arrangement and I also found everything else I needed there as well. Got plates, utensils, candles and other decorations all at a cheap price. Was very happy with the service and large selection. Will definitely come back

AND the balloon bouquet that you made for her… OMG, when you said to «trust you», I was a bit skeptical… BUT WOW WOW the balloon you made for my 18 years old, with the cutest little heart balloons on the top and the bottom of the bouquet were just THE cutest!!! Decent selection and helpful service. Beautiful small/​medium/​large piñata selection as well. Got a cute, colorful bull for just $ 10!

Great selections of party supplies, ginormous piñatas, endless gift wrappers, and themed knick knacks. They have reasonable prices, ample parking, and accessible location on Reseda. Plus the sales lady with the glasses (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) was super helpful and knowledgable when I needed certain table covers for a Welcome Baby Brunch I was hosting. Highly recommend for your party planning needs!

Been coming here for years. Always find what I need. The selection is huge! Piñatas wrapping paper invitations balloons candy candles toys I mean everything. The make center pieces and they deliver! Check it out!

I absolutely recommend this store! The owner is very nice and attentive to detail — I ordered six huge balloon bouquets from this store for my twin boys birthday party. They were delivered to the restaurant at the right time; super beautiful arrangements. I couldn’t be more happy. Thank you, Paul!

I was searching around for lady bug birthday balloons the week of my daughter’s birthday party and am so happy Absolute is here!
I emailed the business to inquire in the evening and received a response from Paul early the next morning. I came in during the afternoon that day and Paul helped me. He answered all questions I had and was helpful.
I purchased a lady bug paper centerpiece, lady bug stickers and placed an order for pick up that Saturday by 2:30pm for 2 sets of lady bug balloon bouquets which each were made with one lady bug foil balloon, 3 red with white polk a dot latex balloons and 3 black with white polk a dot latex balloons.
Balloons were ready on time as promised.
I will definitely be back for party occasions in the future!

Wow… I am just amazed at the glorified reviewS here… honestly. I so relate to the horrific review this shops has received. I can not stand horrible customer service or rudeness and I am so grateful to Unilocal for letting us customers tell the public about our experiences. So here we go…
So, I come into this store with several gifts wanting Paul to wrap them. Yes, he has taken care of me in the past and has never expressed any remorse or anger in front of me or to me. However, something was off today, with him… I bring in these gifts and I ask him if he can wrap them and he explained exactly how to he was going to wrap them. I was going to wrap some of my own gifts, so I wanted to purchase some wrapping paper. Mind you, not the individual roles, but the roles that you can purchase by the foot. I asked Paul, the owner of the shop, how much wrapping paper by the foot do I need for this particular gift. He saw the box and the gift. He said it is up to me since he gets in trouble when he gives the exact amount or amount of paper needed to wrap a gift. OMG… is he not the expert in wrapping and am I not coming to him to wrap the gift. Why didn’t he say something like, well this …:this one, you will be ok with about two (2) feet or so”…The reason is because he wasn’t going to get paid for not wrapping the gift so why bother to help you with how much paper you really need to wrap it. That was a «RED FLAG already… So, I told him, I will estimate the amount, give me less that an foot for this gift… so he tears it. NO, HE DIDN’T TEAR PAPER AFTER PAPER… I purchase one other paper again maybe 2 feet. I asked him how much the Santa one is… and he said ’ $ 1.90. When I went to the registrar to address him writing everything on a invoice so I can pay him, I suddenly remembered that I had some holiday wrapping at home. …So, I said to him… I changed my mind, I do not want the Santa one that you are going to charge me $ 1.90 for. He said, «Sorry, I already ripped it, and you must buy it… I said, «No, I am not going to buy the paper, since I already have it at home»…OK, now I had my gifts spread on the counter and a box with some tissue paper that I wanted to buy… He lost it… YEP, …He then said…“Get out of here… and don’t ever come back»…I said, NO I like to buy that box and I need it… He «said, NO, GET OUT OF HERE AND DON’T EVER COME BACK AGAIN… OMG…his employee just looked at me with shock and said…“there is nothing you can do but leave»…I said, NO I like to buy that box, and the «employee said… I am sorry, I can’t sell it to you. So, then I proceeded on cleaning off the counter, and by the way, he totally ignored me and proceeded on helping other customers as I was picking up my gifts. Who ever is reading this — if you look at his other reviews… he seems to have the same pattern. See Innessa and Prescilla’s reviews and others that seem to have a problem with him. So, to continue, I apologized and said I am sorry to upset you… and that was not my intention. I just changed my mind… Paul did not talk to me or acknowledge my apology. I turned to his employee standing there in tears mind you and said OMG… I can’t believe he is like this and she said YEP, he does this… like saying this is the way he is and you need to except it… I proceeded to go on my merry way and guess what, I found my wrapping paper and bows for much cheaper and wrapped my two (2) gifts myself. I took the other gifts back to the store, as he PRETTY MUCH SOURED MY GIFT GIVING SPIRIT!
I am going to recommend that unless you want to walk on egg shells with this man and should you piss this man off — watch out… Furthermore, I will not and won’t tolerate his BS… or his rudeness… Owner or not… he is serving the public and his reviews are saying he really doesn’t care about establishing customers… He doesn’t like you, he will kick you out like a dog on the street. Then he is done with you like a «burnt piece of toast» How awful… that a owner would treat people like this… I recommend you go to his competitors and shop elsewhere… Honestly…Based on his reviews that he has on Unilocal… you he will «RIP YOU A NEW ONE», if you have problems with the merchandise, or want to change your mind about purchasing something…

Awesome shop! The employees were super helpful and patient while I was looking at all the costumes and even gave suggestions about what would be appropriate. They had a better choice of costumes for adults that were not too sexy (I needed a fun costume to wear while working with kids) than party city or spirit.

Very disappointed, over priced and poor quality! Paid $ 430 for 4 center pieces, 2 balloon columns and 5 letters. Almost everything got deflated in less then 24 hours and my daughters name (letters) got deflated during the party. Will never do business with this place again!

Pretended that he called a delivery guy on the phone and then. Actually delivered balloons himself with a women which I think was his wife yet he charged me 40 to deliver !! When I questioned him why he is delivering instead of the delivery guy he said well I have to make money, or some non-​sense .
He is disgusting and I recommend to never ever go here again. I paid 430.00 for 4 center pieces that deflated the next day and 2 columns and 5 letter name (and two letters deflated during the party) I could have gotten the delivery for free!
The balloons where the same as a party city set that’s 15.00.
Save yourself the time and money and don’t come here, he is unprofessional and could careless about his customers.

I’ve been buying supplies here for a LONG time which is the only reason I gave this place 2 stars. They always have everything BUT the prices are super inflated! A pack of 8 regular colored plates for 1 $ vs. the same brand in a 16 pack at the dollar store down the street?! They used to sell the 16 pack for 1 $ but now the quantity is half for the same price? A little ridiculous. The owner is super rude and makes me feel stupid every time I question something and got angry when I asked him to blow a balloon so I could see the true color (it said magenta but looked red). When I told him he was being rude he told me that he didn’t need my business! He’s super cheap and is always trying to cut corners, not good for business if you want to keep customers! I took him very seriously when he said he didn’t need my business and found another supplier.
