The staff here are very rude! They don’t speak when spoken to, breath heavily and role their eyes whenever you ask a question and they rush you out of the store, even if there is 20 minutes left before closing. I will never go here again!!!

Very rude staff. I went on 5÷13÷16 at 10am and the cashier was very impolite and didn’t respect the elderly. The cashier was constantly on her phone while helping us. She didn’t have a name tag but she has very short hair, wears glasses, and speaks Russian. I highly do NOT recommend this place at all!

Terrible customer service. I will never shop at this store again. NEVER!

The title of my review is «Restaurant Leftovers and Other Things Cooked and Served in Questionable Settings by Questionable People»
The owner also owes a Russian restaurant next door, so when they bring one serving of stale kebab to the store’s hot food section you’ve been warned.
I am not sure why health inspectors have not already closed this dump.
Service is extremely rude. Shelves are dirty. Food is handled by hands touching money.
I cannot figure out where the line starts or ends.
Tare is not deducted on all packaged items. Most packaged items are not dated.
People do not wear hairnets.
People who give 5 star reviews on Unilocal must be connected to the store in some ways.
Go there if you feel nostalgic for Soviet Union service circa 80’s

Even though I visit this store often, this is the first time I got expired thinks from their shelf … Pls pay lil more attention… still they always have the best fruits

Rude cashiers (they don’t say hello to you), worst customer service, and impolite CUSTOMERS. They pass the line and no apologize.

Good place for Russian food:) I’m going there this morning as I want tasty galloopsi. If you don’t know what that is, try them. When I get there I will bump and push past people and others will crowd me as I’m shopping. The staff may stare at me without expression. For now you are transported in a little market kiosk that could be anywhere in Moscow or Leningrad. Americans who haven’t traveled there, relax, that’s how it is, learn and enjoy it, that’s key. Remember this: they’re not being rude, even it it feels like that way to you. Appreciate it as training for future travel plans and try the pelmeni as well. Don’t forget to greet with drast-​veeti at the counter.

I have been to this store about a dozen times and every time I have experienced very poor customer service with rude personnel. The lines for check out are longer, compared to other stores (even to other Russian stores). This store is very crowded and it is difficult for the shopping cart to fit through the aisles. Would not recommend.

i wouldn’t come back here! the service is terrible! also the food prices compared to other russian food stores is so expensive! why? also i opened a jar of sour cream and the entire thing was filled with water! it was so disgusting! they do that to save money huh? well you sure are fu**ing poisining out stomachs! definitely not taking my family back in this market. Also as a russian my self, this store is not the one you new russian folk out there would want to go to. just saying.

Purely on customer service. Rude and abnoxious. Stop lying to the customer. It’s ok i’ll find another place willing to sell similar products. Keep your aweful employee you lost a good customer.

There is a woman with glasses and short hair who was very mean. Very poor service!!! I felt like I’m buying my groceries for her money. I wanted to buy more stuff but I was to pissed off to ask. This store needs to hire more friendly workers who are younger.

Good variety of daily fresh vegetables and fruits, homemade food and deli. Long lines are a problem, because there is only cashier to check customers out and at a rush hour that creates huge line!

Good place for the typical russian deli needs. The only one in this area as well.

Once in a while I buy cakes here. It’s a second time I’ve got cake with mold.
But it seems like the issue is not only about cakes. My kids asked me to buy a cookies. When opened they smelled like packed in previous century.
Never shop here again!

Very Poor Customer Service. I found and expired item on the shelf, and politely asked a gentleman that was restocking the vegetables, and the answer I got was «It is not my business, I am in charge of fruits and vegetables». When I asked who can help me, he simply walked away.
Rasputin is the sore for me

This is one of the absolutely worst markets I have ever been too. The place is tiny, very unorganized. The stuff works when they fill like it and has no consistency in following the rules they have established to move the line and help customers faster. Also, if you go to this place you must check every box of raspberries and cherries, because there is huge chance that if you don’t, the product is rotten. Please consider going to the small market across the street «fancy food» or one of the biggest markers «Rasputin» located in Encino.

Best Birds Milk Cake ever. This is the ultimate place to get a birthday cake that is very unique.
The people that work here are brash at best. It’s the cold war look on their face. They don’t mean no harm; they can be rude and don’t even know it. Fun experience, the Russian goodies available here are great!

Not only people that work here are rude, unprofessional and nasty but we have found WORMS inside the wrappers of candy on more than one occasion.

Love their deli.
++ rice pilaf, Beef Stroganov, couscous, fried fish, Pirozhki (meat buns)
+ cool market with lots of interesting noms
Service was friendly but difficult, lots of pointing and broken English but it part of the adventure of finding authentic food
