After 2 kids and approx 13 years I can honestly say we love Kids Art Tarzana. They are great with the kids and so easy to work with. Our now 13-​year old loves them so much we make the schlep even though we moved to West Hills. Their summer camp sessions are perfect too. Our youngest especially loves the Portraiture session.

Our 5 year old daughter has been in classes for the past 6 months and loving it! Her pictures are amazing and it’s been a great experience!

Cute little art school for children and adults to learn the basics of drawing/​painting/​sketching, etc… My 5 ½ year old has had a couple of classes and seems to be enjoying it. The classes are 1 hour long.
PROS: The teachers seems to be patient and gentle with the children. The last 10 minutes of each 1 hour session are reserved for the teachers to «show off» what the kids did that day and all of the parents clap and the kids gets stickers as rewards.
CONS: The price. It costs about $ 20 — $ 22 per class (materials included). I think for any child to really improve their artwork, they would have to continue the lessons beyond a month.
I would recommend these classes but if you are on a tight budget, then perhaps, look into art classes at the local community college as it is way cheaper than these independent art schools.
