Bait-​and-​switch is a form of fraud used in retail sales but also employed in other contexts. First, customers are «baited» by merchants’ advertising products or services at a low price, but when customers visit the store, they discover that the advertised goods are not available, or the customers are pressured by sales people to consider similar, but higher priced items («switching»).
This company offered a deal on groupon for tv installation… It says my choice of swivel or tilt.
I have been wanting to mount my tv in my new place and when I saw this groupon I thought it would be too good to turn up…
I was wrong. When I purchase the groupon and called to set up the appointment the girl on the phone didn’t even know they had a groupon offer… First red flag…
She put me on hold and went and asked. Oh yes we do have a groupon and took all my info down and said they could come out on Saturday… She said someone would reach out to me and let me know more details… Saturday approaches… No phone call so I call them… 2^nd red flag…
A guy answers and said he will call me back in 30 minutes… So I wait. I have switched my schedule all around so I would be home to have my tv installed… Waste of my day… He calls me back and tells me that he will be losing money to install a swivel mount like the groupon says. And ask if I would be wiling to pay $ 50 extra? Are you kidding me??? I didn’t create this groupon. You did… So why are you asking me for $ 50 extra??? Scammers!
Typical bait and switch maneuver… I’m surprised that groupon allows these type of customers on their site. Btw I have contacted them as well. And hopefully groupon will not do business with people like this.

Beware if you have them come to install you tv I am 100% sure they will end up charging you extra on whatever price they quoted you over the phone.

Companies need to be careful of who they try to scam. I work hard for my money and don’t appreciate people trying to scam me out of it

I’m so happy with this company’s service. Great work, very friendly, very helpful, & not to expensive at all. I highly recommend this company to anyone. My new TV looks so good mounted up right where I wanted.
