Score! After 4 years if living in the neighborhood I finally tried this local spot. I love a sub sandwich and the Italian I ordered was M-mm-good. Next I have to try the chicken or veal Parmigiana! Can’t wait!!!

Sandwich was simple and good price. I take 3 stars away for food handling. The employee/owner did not use disposable gloves while making the sandwich which included cold cuts.

I eat here at least 3 times a week. Every week. I have to hide the bag from my wife. I would eat here every day if she would let me.

This is hands down, the most regular ass sandwich I’ve ever consumed. And it was good! My only complaint is that it(turkey and cheese) could have used some thinly sliced red onion and a tad less mayo.

Quick review since I am at work. Good nieghborhood place to go to for good food at reasonable/affordable prices. Loved that they cook your steak sandwhich when you order it, not like some large chain places that either microwave it or it is pre-heated. They also were open to my request to toast both the rolls on both of my orders. Feel free to ask if you like your bread a bit crunchy.

No doubt — best philly cheese steak I have had in So Cal — great hoagie roll and quality meat! Give it a try — worth it. Meat, cheese, fried onion, ketchup and roll. Simple and great.

Love this place so much!!! We drive far just to come here to eat. I love their thinly sliced veggies in their subs. Always fresh and delicious!!! The egg salad sandwich is my favorite, my husband loves the Italian cold cut. The prices are also the BEST! A small Micks sub is equivalent to a large jersey mikes/subway. And the taste is way better! A large micks sub is huuuge & awesome. They don’t skimp on meat or veggies either. The onion rings and zucchini fries are delicious– a perfect compliment to your sub. Not to mention, the adorable elder couple who own and work the place are so friendly to everyone. Been going here since 2011 and will always come back! Thanks Micks!

I’m a big sandwich lover and I am extremely picky about where I eat. I found this place years ago when I used to live in Tarzana. The prices and quality of the subs beat out Subway, Jersey Mikes, and pretty much every other sandwich place I’ve eaten. The large sub is HUGE and they always overflow each sandwich with fresh meat & veggies. Love this place. Thanks Micks!

Been driving past this spot for sometime saying I needed to come try it out. It is a throw back to the 80s… believe it to be owner operated. So you know they take great pride on what they do and produce. Parking is a bit on the thin side… but worth the effort

Love a good tuna melt, tuna was good but putting American cheese instead of cheddar in a tuna melt is sacrilegious. Tiny julienned veggies needed more substance. Fan of the yummy potato salad. More and more places use store bought. Other half got a sub which seemed like it was more bread and skimpy on the ingredients inside. We would try the pizza and other items people have recommended. I would get the tuna melt again just ask for different cheese for a higher rating.

Would of gave them 5 stars if there wasn’t a 50 cent charge to use debit card. Went here for my lunch break, seemed like owner and his wife were running the store, they were really nice. Ordered the original philly cheese steak, food came out quickly. Really good size portions.

The Philly cheese steak is amazing, and you can have it made any way that you want it. Service was good and fast for carry out as well. Definitely recommend the place.

Love this place!!! I’ve been going here for years and I must say there is no better place to get a Philly steak sub then at Micks!!! The owner is a great guy and takes care of all his customers. I seriously love this place and have never had a bad experience. I also recommend the chicken sandwich but the philly is the #1 in my book. I usually get extra cheese and mayo on my steak sub. If you love philly steak then don’t waste your time going the Phillys best, this is the place for a steak sub :)

I ordered the Philly cheese steak and the Meatball sub. We ended up eating the chips we got for a side and tossing the rest. My steak was dry and there wasn’t even much on the hoagie roll. When I took a bite I tasted more bread than meat. The only good part of the meatball sub was just the bread. Meat and cheese taste cheap. Won’t be returning.

Mick’s is the best deal for the quality. I’ve never had a bad meal here and I’ve been going for almost 8 years. This restaurant has fast friendly service and the variety of sandwiches, sides, pizzas, and salads always makes this a great pick for lunch. Not only is Mick’s a great pick, they are a Mom & Pop shop. When you eat here, you are supporting a rarity that stands apart from the cookie cutter fast food clones we are surrounded by. Support this local family restaurant and enjoy a fabulous lunch!

This is a must stop sub shop for anyone looking for a classic east coast-inspired hoagie in Tarzana. As an east coast transplant in the San Fernando Valley, I’m always on the look out for the best submarine sandwiches around. I’ve been coming to Mick’s for about 6 months and the quality and service never disappoints. The Italian Cold Cut is delicious, along with their Philly Cheese and Mushroom Steak. Forget about Jersey Mikes, hop on Ventura and drive down to Mick’s Subs & Pizza for an authentic east coast sub!

Big sandwiches. Great bread and mayo. Good prices. The original owner was kind of rude, and the new owner,(presumably) his son, is kind of rude and/or not at all talkative. Fast service and I’ve never gotten my order wrong. Going there since I was a kid… still going back decades later.
