Welcome to the most deceiving Unilocal page I’ve ever seen. Notice how there are only either 1 star reviews or 5 star and nothing in the middle? Let’s just say, I really have no clue how people can rate this place 5 stars, just seems fishy… Now for the review. We came here on a Saturday night with the family. The place was 80% full. The crowd was mostly old divorced/widowed Persians and the entertainment was a guy playing a very traditional Persian instrument and singing old timer songs. It was nice for those who grew up with this, but definitely not a place for you if you aren’t older than 40 and Persian. The décor was traditional, but not very nice. They had white foldout chairs instead of real ones at tables. Very tacky and tasteless. The owner has really no clue how to run a restaurant. It’s more like she’s inviting you to her house for dinner, but she’s not very inviting, she just wants your money. She acts all fun and happy, but really she’s all business, and if you say anything, she will go 180 degrees on you in a second. This is why owners of unsuccessful restaurants should never be waiters, because are too desperate and take things way to personal. Another thing, she is a disgrace to any Persian hospitality. For anyone who is not Persian and decides to come here, please do not judge us by this establishment. I have never been to a Persian restaurant who doesn’t bring you bread and when they do, they are so stingy and you ask for more, the owner reprimands you. For 25 cents of bread? Are you kidding? Never seen this in my life. Another thing, Persians like to drink tea freely and with a piece of mind all through out their sitting at a restaurant. Charging more for tea is not really an issue for me, but only giving one refill is definitely a big no no. Again, stingy. As for the food, I got salmon. At $ 17.95, it was one of the most expensive items on the menu. Let’s just say, I left hungry. She brought a dinner plate out the size of a standard plate you would have at home. On it, she put a piece of salmon which translates to 1⁄3 the portion you would get at any other Persian restaurant in LA. With it there was rice and a very basic cheap salad. All three of these things on one small plate. Very bad presentation and a very small portion. The food was good, except for the salad. Which is the only reason I am giving this place 2 stars instead of one, because food quality and Taste should always carry more weight. The service overall wasn’t great, they need more people and they need to organize better. When you are sitting at a traditional table where you don’t have chairs but sit on a rug with your legs crossed you need to clear the area before you bring food, they don’t do that. They just keep piling plates on you. So it’s even more uncomfortable which completely kills your experience. Overall, this restaurant has the potential to be a good place, but the owner needs to get her act together and stop thinking about money, let people who know what they are doing run the restaurant and stick to true Persian tradition.

Stop and read! This restaurant is hidden in a small shopping plaza and looks closed because their windows are tinted. Anyhow, I just happened to walk into this hidden treasure and enjoy myself a nice meal. Myself being Persian am used to Persian cuisine, but I never eat at Persian restaurants because their chefs usually aren’t Persian, so they don’t have the touch. This place is literally like eating in Iran itself. From the décor, to the seating and of course the food. HEREISWHATYOUNEEDTOORDER. The ghormeh sabzi, the Soltani kabob and appetizer of yours choice. The customer service is wonderful, super nice staff and they play live music!

The worst customer service you can possibly ask for! The owner and the staff are so rude to the customers. They were asking for $ 15 minimum order on Yalda Night, and apparently the waitress told one of my friends that«we’re gonna charge you minimum $ 15 anyways even if your order is less» !!!

The food was awful! It was like they warmed up their last nights food, or It seems that they microwaved frozen food! So low quality,…

No words can describe this place. The people who run this place in #Tarzana cook great traditional Persian food such as #Abgoosht. Although their traditional seating is very unique.

Had dinner here tonight as I have been craving for dizi since winter comes. This is my 1st time to Shab Neshini, and, I am so happy about my choice as now I adore this place :-) Ordered: Mirza ghasemi, Shirazi salad and dizi. Miza was with grilled eggplants(a step many other places do not do) — with fantastic smoky taste, great flavor. And dizi was sooooo DELICIOUS! Fresh, flavorful, tenderly cooked. The lady who tended us was friendly and attentive. The décor was classic, cozy and well thought after. We had a great experience, and will surely come back soon!

I’ve been to almost all the Persian restaurants on Ventura blvd from Woodland Hills to Sherman Oaks. This place is by far one of my favorite places to eat and just hang out with friends. The owners are awesome! They make my friends feel welcomed every time we go there. I judge Persian restaurants by their«koobideh» and this place has the best koobideh in the Valley. Oooohhhhhh don’t forget to try their dizi. The best Dizi everrrr! Also try their homemade yogurt drink called«doogh.» And they have live music on Saturday and they are open till late!

Good and friendly service is what it’s all about here. They have some ethnic dishes that you would want to com out and try but the kabobs are okay. They have the the traditional set up there and you actually feel like you’re in the old country. It was a bit pricy but you have to pay if you want to play! Go check it out and you’ll see that it’s more than just a kabob spot, it’s the whole experience!
