Cheap townie bars are some of my favorite places on Earth. The Atlantic Café is as unpretentious, casual and fun as a bar can get. The facility is very clean and the décor is gloriously outdated. The walls are wood paneled, the old timers in the back corner play cards and swear, and there’s usually good company all around.
Play pool, listen to an open mic night, or just sit and chat. The Atlantic Café has plenty of parking and is located right off the main drag in Taunton. The best reason to go is how cheap the brews are. A draft beer or cider is only $ 2.50. Can’t comment on the grub as I haven’t eaten there yet but their menu is limited so consider eating somewhere else before heading over.

No pretense here, the Atlantic Café is what is, a neighborhood bar. The people there are great and the food is inexpensive.
