Landsaw Eyecare

I was on vacation and started having some issues with my eyes. I had made a few phone calls around Marathon, but no one could fit me in. Dr Landsaw’s office fit me right in when I told them what was going on. Dr Landsaw was great and explained to me what was going on after giving me a full eye exam. My parents live down there, so they will be gaining 2 new patients.

Great staff. I have been a patient for 10 years and am not looking for another doctor. Just wish my eyes would stop getting worse.

Friendly and helpful staff! Great experience and will return. Better than another Vision Source I’ve previously visited.

To update my last review. They told me I had to come in for a re-​fitting, but the OD called later and assured me I did not have to go to the office and I could trial a much less expensive pair of contacts. Then the office called to confirm my appointment (the one the OD told me I didn’t need to go to) and I had to call back and cancel.
Now, of course, the OD insisted it be a particular brand… This brand has a set market price (I was assured anyone selling below that price was «breaking the rules»)… because they provide discounts for providers who sell more of that brand of lens… Increasing the profit margin… It still wasn’t about what was best for the patient.
It gets better.
They claim to have charged my insurance 155.00 (99 204 — exam)) for an eye exam, 45.00 (92 015 — high definition vision assessment), and 26.10 for a contact exam (92 310). They charged me 157.90 out of pocket. If you recall my original visit was 207.00 — but they seem to have adjusted some figures. I saved the receipts.
Here’s the kicker… on the insurance claim form they submitted to Humana it states that they charged 60.00 for my «total eyecare exam» 92 004. There is also no mention of 92 015 or 92 310.
Weird. Yes? I notified my insurance company. I won’t be a returning customer. I won’t refer anyone to this practice. I wouldn’t send my neighbor’s cat there (and I don’t even like cats).
As a healthcare provider, this is completely unethical behavior, if not fraudulent.
Beware.

The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. I had an emergency situation and was seen immediately without an appointment. The technology in this practice is superb and something I have never experienced before. Dr. Harry was friendly, personable, and extremely thorough. I would highly recommend him and his staff. I will be returning and referring! Thanks guys.
