Wished I could give negative stars for them. I should have read the reviews before hiring this company. First having their sales rep going door to door after a storm damage is a red flag (should of known better). All roofing companies are typically booked after a storm. People they hired are VERY questionable, work is sloppy, took forever for them to come out, and they left my gutters completely clogged with nails and shingles. They removed my sprinkler sensor and left it dangling by it’s wires! Left shingles on my sunroom’s glass top just to let it bake in the sunlight. Since it’s winter, I’m sure I’ll be getting water stains in the spring/​summer. Word of the wise look somewhere else even if your insurance company will chip in or withhold half the amount until it’s all completed.

When my mother-​in-​law passed away, we had to deal with doing construction on her house in Michigan in preparation for selling it. We knew it would be an ordeal since we’re in California, but Harley’s made it even more of an ordeal. Their communication was TERRIBLE. Worst of all, they did a sloppy job and it was a pain to get them to come back and fix their work. They missed every single deadline we had. Please, please, please don’t work with this company.

This is the most shady company ever. A solicitor is sent door to door, that’s red flag one, especially since every roofing company is booked due to the storms. This company is in Taylor, we are in Northern Macomb county. I would of shut the door, solicitors or strangers do NOT belong on my property. This needs to be a law that needs to be implemented in every state. I thankfully have security cameras interior and exterior & a state of the art alarm system.
My husband dealt with this character. He came out twice; once he say & waited for our insurance adjuster to come. A. They have NO business in our business. (Keep in mind, I the homeowner was never contacted by this company.) I’m in my kitchen and see a man and a woman walking through my backyard. I am very private and do NOT want anyone I don’t know on my property, especially in my yard. B. You don’t bring your girlfriend to an «estimate» which we never received, he was too busy finding out what our policy was going to pay. Psychology 101! My husband, then told me he was just getting an estimate. Which, we never did receive.
He gave my husband a packet of their bb & licensee
and had my husband sign; saying it was just that he was out, ummmm, no, it’s a contract if we don’t use them we have to pay 20% and their legal fees! Ahh NO! Not happening, that’s some scam they have going.
When I was apprised of this misleading representation, I called the guy that came out, told him, we are NOT using them, they have horrible reviews, I the homeowner did not ok this. This guy said, he already bought the stuff! What stuff? No estimate, no shingles were picked etc. I called the owner. N/​A. Left a message. No call back. I then in turn, I called our attorneys & went directly to our other in regards to this matter. I don’t think they want to mess with our very high profile lawyers…
Oh, and their worker said,“he spent 16 – 18 hours at our home”. Laughable! Not even close. I can pull up our surveillance.
I am going to have my lawyers handle this if they do not rectify this situation properly.
Stay away, far away, from this company!

It’s like having sons of anarchy showing up. Unprofessional, unfriendly, and over priced. Worst downriver for sure.

Came to the house, evaluated the job (from the front lawn) and gave an estimate for the roof for $ 600. Signed contract and put down a deposit.
When they showed up the worker said that since the shingles were brittle the new price would be $ 1550. I’m sure they are not dishonest, just unable to properly assess the job during the estimate before starting it. This is almost as bad.
After speaking with owner, she was very apologetic and said that employee (John) was not properly trained on assessing roof repair, so I think they have their hearts int he right place — if you’re going to go with them I am sure they do great work; just please avoid any estimates from an employee named John.
They even wrote a personal letter and mailed it a few weeks later trying to explain how that happened.
