I just lunched here today for the first time. DELICIOUS! I got the Casuela con Carne(soup) and Adobo Arequipeno. The beef in both dishes was so tender and the broth of the Casuela was very tasty. My brother got the Aji de Gallina and thought it was excellent also. I will definitely be eating at La Nusta again. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu. Good service. Fantastic food! Glad to have a place like this in our small town of Taylor, Texas.

The food is excellent. It’s surprisingly excellent in fact. And the price is good! The only reason for four stars is the service is the exact opposite of the food. It’s not that anyone was rude, they just seem inexperienced and inattentive. Maybe they need to hire more people. The food arrived quickly, but you’ll run out of beverage and not get refilled, you practically have to beg to get dessert or the check. We actually left there and went to DQ for dessert. But the biggest minus for his place is… no booze. They are missing out on a huge money maker. I hope they start selling it soon.

My husband and I were out on a drive from Austin last Sunday and found most places closed. However, the La Nusta sign caught my attention as we were driving through Taylor, so we turned around and headed back. What a discovery! Being from Austin, we are saturated with options and many are pricey and not worth it. La Nusta, why aren’t you in Austin? Well, we asked and found out they once were, but decided to put down roots in Taylor in January. Our loss is Taylor’s huge gain, but we plan to visit and treat ourselves frequently. My husband had the chicken with the green rice. Just plan on probably getting stuck on this one and never ordering anything else again. I had the pork wrapped in banana leaves with plantains and black beans. Excellent! We had a salad for a starter. It may look a bit different, but trust me, it is fabulous. It is quinoa with vegetables to include potato cubes. The appearance through us at first, but we fought over each bite. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food and is doubly blessed by the wonderful prices. BTW, its BYOB for now.

I am probably one of the pickiest eaters you will ever meet and the thought of Peruvian food actually disgusted me before today. My boss loves this place and decided to treat our team to lunch. When she said she was bringing in Peruvian food I was very reluctant but decided to put my big girl pants on and give it a try. She ordered a few different plates and we all sampled from each one. There was nothing that I hated. As a matter of fact I absolutely loved most of it! The Green Rice was like a savory bit of heaven in my mouth! I am super excited to go back with my family.

Amazing food. Being a Peruvian myself, i thought that the food was excellent. Ive tried Peruvian restaurants all over the US. And La Nusta(Victor’s cooking) is on the top 5. I really recommend this place. We drove from Austin, a bit far but worth the traveling!

This is one of our favorite spots to eat in Taylor. The service is a little slow but the food is worth the wait. The salad is my go to for lunch but if you are a little more hungry, go for the Arroz con Pollo. Also, I recommend trying the fruit drinks they offer if you need a little sweet.

A big fan of Pachamama’s, I finally made it out here to try La Ñusta. It was so worth the drive! The food is amazing! I tried the anticuchos, papas a la huancaína, tallarines verdes, ají de gallina, and my favorite, lomo saltado. I absolutely loved them all. The presentation is nice too. They also had fresh flowers on each table. I didn’t have a single complaint about the whole dining experience! I will definitely be back. P. S. Did I mention how amazing the food is! I nearly licked my plates clean, but scraped them with a french fry instead.

Adorable interior with original artwork, friendly staff, and DELICIOUS food! My lunch was: Adobo Arequipeño — Pork stew simmered in aji colorado, chicha jora, pepper & spices. Served with white rice & sweet potato.(Lunch Special served with house salad with delicious house dressing). Five star lunch. Great lunch pricing. Definitely plotting my next foray to Taylor so I can eat here, see a movie at the Howard Theater, shop at Cherry Tree Creative, and check out the latest exhibit at 120Art.

My husband and I have visited La Nusta several times and it is quickly becoming our favorite place! The atmosphere is welcoming as are the owners and staff. The food is DELICIOUS. We have tried several of the appetizers and entrees. The green rice is wonderful — actually we have not tried anything that wasn’t excellent. You must try the crepes with lucuma ice cream for dessert… they are heavenly! Do yourself a favor and try La Nusta! We are very fortunate to have Peruvian cuisine right here in Taylor.

Looking for some Peruvian food, my son and I decided to drive 40 minutes to visit this place in Taylor, TX. The restaurant is quite inviting from the outside, and gorgeous on the inside. With some art hanging on the walls. They have a breakfast menu on the table and the lunch and dinner menu is a varied and long list. We ordered Anticuchos and Conchitas for appetizers. They were delicious, the flavors have been reduce a bit to the American palates. To wash it down I had a Maracuya juice and my son an Inka Kola. For seconds my son had the Seco and I ordered from the breakfast menu the Tacu Tacu with eggs. Again a hit, tasty and in the right amounts to fill you just fine and leave space for dessert, for which we ordered Alfajores. They were extraordinary. Nice place and worth the drive.

Oh my goodness the food here is to die for. So flavorful. Our waiter was attentive but not annoying, and, and everything we ordered was incredible. They also do takeout. I will definitely be coming here on the regular.

Love the food, the service, the drinks, the ambiance. Everything about La Nusta is tops, even the prices. So many good tastes here at a very reasonable cost. Hope the business succeeds. Taylor can be a tough community to establish a foothold.

What a gem! Every soup is fantastic, and the salads are beautiful and tasty. The Tallerines Verdes con Camarones Pacha is very good, and I’ve also enjoyed the Lomo Saltado and Aji de Gallina. If you have a sweet tooth, order a glass of the Chicha Morada for a unique treat — and it comes in a serving big enough to share. I have eaten in once and taken out a few times. Service has been friendly, efficient, and helpful.

I tried this place for the first time the other day for dinner based off of a friend’s recommendation. I’m so glad I listened! DELICIOUS! This is the real deal: authentic Peruvian creole dishes at an affordable price. I had the levantamuertos la nusta — avocado, quinoa, mussels, and huge shrimp marinated in Pachamama’s cocktail sauce — and it was so refreshing getting some fresh seafood. I also tried a bit of my brother’s adobo arequipeño, which was a pork stew on rice with sweet potato, and it was so tender! Their desserts are fantastic, too. My family shared the flan al nito and a crêpe a la mode, which included a deliciously rich carob sauce and homemade ice cream with lucuma fruit. Not only was the food great, but the presentation was just beautiful. The staff was also incredibly nice and the chef was kind enough to greet us and talk to us after our meal. I really liked the layout of the venue, too — lots of windows and a nice courtyard for outdoor seating. All in all, I highly recommend it!

Lunch: After a 25 min drive we arrived at La Ñusta ready but not prepared for the awesome surprise we were about to receive. The décor and ambience was great and we arrived around 11:15AM so there were only two tables ahead of us. There are plenty of tables indoor and a few in their patio. This is good because they are going to need the space! Appetizer: Yuccas a la Huancaína — Yucca sticks served with huancaína sauce and creole sarsa. We ordered from the Lunch Menu $ 8.99 Aji de Gallina — Shredded chicken breast in a spicy creamy sauce. Served with white rice and potatoes.(Lunch Special served with soup or house salad) and $ 8.99 Arroz con Pollo Pachamama’s — Marinated grilled chicken breast on a bed of green rice, topped with creole sarsa and huancaína sauce.(Lunch Special served with soup or house salad) Dessert: Lucuma’s Ice Cream — Homemade ice cream with the most popular fruit of Peru: Lucuma! Alfajores — Short bread cookie filled with caramel, rolled in coconut flakes & powdered sugar. Wow just wow… The Pea soup I had was amazing and they have soup specials every day of the week. I really liked the green rice and Huancaína sauce. My friends Ice Cream was insanely good! I have to say that this is easily the best Peruvian Restaurant I have ever been to. I will be a regular! Oh the alfajore was amazing as well! Last but not least the wait staff was very attentive and friendly!

Absolutely fantastic food! I’ve had Peruvian food before and although Iv’e had a few dishes that may have topped similar dishes here, those other places were in S America. Nowhere in the states comes close. The freshness of the food, fish especially, was superb. I highly recommend this new restaurant even if your’e new to Peruvian. The ceviche is amazing! Try it, you will love it. The only preference I have; I am a fan of huancaína and like it better when it’s simply fresh and blended. I don’t think it’s easy to find fresh huancaína or canchita in the states so, no complaint. In my opinion this is the only REAL restaurant in Taylor.

What a treat to find amazing, diverse dishes served in a small Texas town! Taylor is one of my favorite places to visit, and La Nusta adds to the reasons list why I’ll continue to visit. Went for lunch last week and was glad to see them at about 90% capacity. My girlfriend and I ordered separate dishes so we could try different things. I had the Arroz con Pollo Pachamama’s — Marinated grilled chicken breast on a bed of green rice, topped with creole sarsa and huancaína sauce.(Lunch Special served with soup or house salad), while my gal had Adobo Arequipeño — Pork stew simmered in aji colorado, chicha jora, pepper & spices. Served with white rice & sweet potato.(Lunch Special served with soup or house salad). Both were superb entrees with big kudos to the green rice. The chicken breast was tender and the marinade was just right to add great flavor. We both were very pleased, especially since they have only been open a few weeks! For an added bonus, the tea is unlike any I’ve tasted. When I asked the waiter about it(I was thinking it had cinnamon) he told me it was nutmeg! Great taste for a basic table tea iced tea! Looking forward to visiting and trying two different selections, as well as an appetizer and dessert!

This chef is brilliant. We ate mostly vegetarian dishes and they were superb. My new favorite restaurant. I absolutely loved it. The vegan plate was delicious. It had canary beans that had the most wonderful flavor. The green rice was so good too.
