Best Chinese food ever!!! Huge serving and great pricing! Only place to get great food. Owner and staff are so kind. I moved to FL and miss this food so much. Last trip to Michigan I brought some on the plane with me back to FL.

New Hong Kong Restaurant serves huge platters of food, gives great service, and has the BEST almond cookies! They make everyone feel special by taking the time to greet each person. Great monthly specials. One I just tried was the LoMein Soup with dumplings and a ginger sauce to dip the dumplings. That bowl had about 8 dumplings and a ton of noodles. Yum! Prices are low, food tastes so good and selection great. Always leftovers to bring home.

Food was fast, hot and fresh. They use REAL chicken, the customer service was excellent and they’re not expensive. I ordered the spicy Lo Mein(small) and it is enough to feed like three adults, I didn’t like the flavors of sauce for the TSO generals chicken or the sesame chicken and the sesame chicken didn’t have much sauce at all.

Me and my friend. Went there for our first time a couple months ago. we were very impressed. Portions were huge. enough for two dinners for leftovers. I ordered the cashew chicken and she had the sweet and sour was excellent. The waitress was amazing and the man who greeted us when we came in and cashed us out was so nice. definitely will go back when we will be soon though.

Ridiculous amount of food for super cheap and great customer service Fast seating and fast food We ordered vegetable Lo mein, hot and sour soup and Szechuan chicken. All dishes were yummy and it was probably 5 pounds of food Definitely you could share a dish with one or more person Our total tab was less than $ 15.00 Definitely a nice chinese food gem in the middle of fast food row. Quiet ambience, relaxing Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quick cheap chinese food fix

My wife and I are new to the area and had a craving for Asian food. I ordered general Tao and lo mein and they gave me plain noodles with no sauce or anything. It was almost awkward opening up. My wife had sweet and sour pork which was not bad at all, but the fried rice didn’t have any veggies or anything. It was heavily packed which made it more unappetizing. Let’s just say, we won’t be eating here again.

Excellent. Food is delicious and always prepared quickly. They raised their prices a few years ago but still give you enough to feed all of Africa with one order. Love them!

My second Favorite Chinese Restaurant. I have been coming here for years and developed a close relationship with the owner. He is a nice guy I have been absent a year or two and the other day popped in to order some take out he remembered me right away! the food is awesome I love the sweet and sour chicken however, I would say this though the egg rolls are not as good as I remember but I still enjoy the main course and that is all that matters. over all check it out if you are in the area not as good as my number one favorite but a very close second. =)

Our family loves New Hong Kong, as you can get quality food for the price of McDonald’s down the street. Sizzling rice soup is a meal in itself! I love the curry chicken combo and always order it extra spicy. The owner always greets us with a smile and don’t forget to pick up their almond cookies on your way out… they’re homemade and fantastic! I miss the moo shoo vegetable dish they had that you could roll up and add they’re special sauce, but maybe it’ll be back on the menu someday.

Came here one night on a whim. There were four of us and we all ordered different things. The first suprise was the size of the portions. They were huge! There was so much to eat. And it was tastey! I had the pepper steak. Yum. Wife had the almomd chicken. Yum. Friends had general Tso chicken and another dish I cant remember(it was combo 16). Double yum! Pretty sure all were around ten bucks each. Definity planning to eat here again. Friendly service too.

Best Chinese food in the area. I usually get the General Tso’s combo and the amount of food you get for $ 11 is impressive. I can never eat it all in one sitting. Not to mention the quality of the food is also really really good. The egg rolls are the best I’ve had as well. You will not be disappointed if you eat here.

Used to like this place, true the owner and wait staff are very friendly, yes the portions are huge, the carryout bags weigh a ton… that being said, the food is subpar. The chopsuey has No flavor, I’m not kidding, 0 flavor, the sesame chicken is pretty decent, tho some times it seems that some of the peices are old chicken… if you get carryout make sure to tell them to skip the shredded lettuce out of the bottom of the container.ick. I really wish they would work on the quality and not so much quantity, because I really want to like them! Every once inawhile we try them… I’m tired of throwing food away while its still hot… so giving up on them!

I took my Nephew and his girlfriend here for their birthday dinner and the rest of the family too. It was just Great!!! We loved it and we will be coming here from now on!!! The sweet and sour chicken was delicious. It came to the table hot and fresh and there was enough to take home a lot of leftovers for the next dinner or lunch! The almond chicken was great too and it came to the table hot and again enough for the next day for lunch or dinner! And the price was great too! The owner was there and was very nice and the service was great and it was very clean in the restaurant. All and all a very good experience am definitely going to go here again to eat and would recommend to everyone who loves Chinese food to trie it very very good food!!!

Everything there tastes like it was fried in VERY old grease. Good luck if you’re a vegetarian… I’m sure the oil is cross-contaminated!

Hong kong chow mein was very tasty and had lots of vegetables. Singapore noodles were ok but not curry based like I am used to. Friendly service and good tea.

This was the worst Chinese food I have had in a long time. We ordered general tso’s chicken and the sauce was so awful I had to wipe my fork off on the napkin to try the fried rice. The rice wasn’t much better. The crab rangoons tasted like nothing. The service was good and the egg drop soup was decent but that hardly makes up for everything else.

Came to Detroit area for the first time. Flight landed and wanted take out dinner back to the hotel nearby. Found New Hong Kong through Unilocal and it’s amazing reviews. Called in my order of general Tao’s chicken, garlic sauce tofu, and crab Rangoon. Food was ready for pick up when I came(10 mins from phone call) and total came out to be $ 21. Charged my credit card and I rarely give tips on takeout( ), but I did with this one. Few days later, when I was checking my bank statement, I noticed that New Hong Kong had actually«changed”/charged my tip up to a $ 6 increase. I was pretty upset and called and spoke to the manager. He took my information down and said would call me back the next day, and he did. I was traveling at that time and could not return the call the same day. I tried again the next day, but I spoke to the female manager and she told me to call back the following day to speak to the male manager. I never got the issue resolved, but I think the manager was really trying. I let the extra charge slip by, but I find it a hassle and upsetting for businesses to make that«mistake»(this is the third time a business has done that to me, the other two in Miami, FL). Food wise… they definitely give you a lot for the price. But quality wise, it is not up to par. The general Tao’s chicken was soaked and in a soup puddle of sauce. The crab Rangoon did not consist of the creamy cheese filling, but of a dry flaky cottage cheese– like instead. Two stars for«Meh, I’ve experienced better.»

My favorite Chinese place in all of Taylor. I love the sesame chicken and they make it sweet like no other I’ve found which is what I really like about it. Very Very friendly service, I don’t think the main guy there ever takes a day off and he is so good with the customers always remembering their orders and who they are. A great experience overall as always.
