This is such a cute spot! The coffee is delish. The upstairs has tables and places for families to play cards. The muffins were light and fluffy. Defiantly will be coming back

Great view from the porch. Delish Americano in a cute cup. The best perk is you can smoke(cigars) on the patio while sipping a hot cup of Jo on a rainy day. It’s a small town, but definitely worth stopping by.

A few colleagues and I all agree: best capps we’ve ever had. Not bitter or sour, the foam is perfection, and the prices are very reasonable! We’re only here for a few days on business, and have already been here three times. The French soda is also fantastic — the barista really knows his stuff. The only thing you have to be aware of is that they don’t take credit cards. Cash or check only.

We were very glad to find Coffee Talk on the way back from the cabin, especially since the coffee shop on the WI side of the river was closed(on Memorial Day). It’s located in an old(Victorian?) house, which is cool and reminded me of being back in Seattle. There is seating on the main level, outside on the back patio, outside on the front porch, and upstairs as well. The service was very friendly, and while a little more leisurely than I am accustomed to, it jived with the small town vibe. I didn’t see many food options, but there was Dry Soda and kombucha and some other non-coffee options. My latte and my boyfriend’s Americano were very tasty but exceedingly HOT!!! A couple other reviews mention the scalding temps, so maybe that’s their thing here? Aside from the too-hot drinks, we enjoyed our stop at Coffee Talk and will definitely pay another visit on the way to or from the cabin in the future!

Such a pretty view with delicious and cheap coffee. The owner(s) are extremely nice and I will definitely be back.

The only thing lacking here is the food selection, but I understand it’s hard to keep a coffee shop successful so I give this place 5 stars for staying around and staying awesome! Open until 9 every day, lots of seating, including front porch and back patio, always someone interesting to talk to, good people watching, good location. Bring cash!

We stopped here on a weekend trip to Taylors Falls. This café really mirrors the kind of town that Taylors Falls is – a friendly and comfortable place with a progressive feel. We loved the drinks, the beautiful Victorian house that the shop is in, and the local, friendly feel of the patrons and the owner.

Wow! I’m so glad I found this place! My family and I were camping, and we found this little gem when the weather decided to just be downright cold and rainy. It was so perfect! The coffee was great. We sat upstairs so our three children would not bother other patrons, and the upstairs was so cool! Old pictures, and a great little sitting area tucked in the corner, which was perfect for us! I will definitely go out of my way to get to get a cup of coffee and just sit!

Great place to stop and have a coffee. Very child friendly, lots of place to sit and relax. Take a look around the upstairs and you will see some great old photo’s of the area from 100 years ago. Again great coffee and the owner is super nice and talks with customers, always a plus in my book.

I needed a pit stop after driving from St. Cloud to go visit my friend in Balsam Lake, even though this is a mere 20 minutes from there… I absolutely love little coffee shops like this so I had to stop. I had a wonderful chat with the Owner about his pups and just general pleasant conversation as he made my Chai latte… it was super hot but he warned me so I let it sit for a bit upstairs in the sitting area. It is an old converted house, so there is a lot of charm and character… he said the best time to sit up in the upstairs front area is during a snow storm since it’s a dramatic but pretty view. They don’t have much for food… but it’s still worth a stop if you are driving along the way.

Love this place!!! My husband and I spent all morning here when the rain stopped our canoeing plans. We hung upstairs for hours. Perfect atmosphere and super friendly service! I can’t believe I’ve missed this spot in the past. I will come back every time I visit Taylor’s falls. Don’t miss it!

I’ve been giving out some extra half stars lately, I give Coffee Talk 3 ½. My latte was ok, not the best I’ve had, certainly not the worst… and screaming hot. What I really liked about this place is the nice patio area out back, tucked into the hillside. What nice place to stop and relax after you’ve been driving for a bit. I think this is my first review that includes props for a bathroom. I don’t normally comment on bathrooms I come across, unless of course they’re terribly dirty. This one had mural from floor to ceiling, including the ceiling! It also featured a portion of one of my favorite Michelangelo works, from the Creation of Adam… the two outstretched fingers. Very cool.

Best coffee shop I’ve ever been to — and I’ve been to a lot. No more words needed.

This is a pitstop for us on our way up to Hayward, WI. Coffee is great, good selection of non-coffee drinks, and the place is classic independent coffee house, filled with regulars, board games and space upstairs. Right on the main drag in an old house, worth the stop off of Hwy 8. P. S. I would have given 5 stars if the bakery took it up a notch.

With the new rage of chain coffee shops, the Coffee Talk sets the slandered for quality drinks without the fluff and crap. It’s an old time coffee house! In the day Intellects gather to discuss current topics, by 4 p.m. the young people flood the upstairs chillen out to loud music(being the only place in a 20 miles that’s open past 10!). This place has the best atmosphere, set in a historic house with a wrap around porch, flowers overflowing the yard, wile laughter rumbles from the bar. Prices are reasonable, i would much rather give them the money then corporate. Don’t expect lunch-they don’t serve it– it’s all about the coffee! And did I mention they make a mean Capp???
