It was ok. It wasn’t anything special. The food was edible, but I wouldn’t call it anything other than what it was, reheated frozen food. The tzatziki sauce was a bit yogurty(if that’s a word) like others have said. There wasn’t a huge amount of flavor. I’ve definitely had worse, but I can’t say I’ll be back.

I thought the gyro meat was fairly good(had a salad), but the souvlaki(had the beef) was a bit disappointing. I never saw the giant vertical rotisserie for the souvlaki meat, so maybe this is a smaller operation and they buy it pre-made. I may go back again when I’m in the area, but the Pita House on Pleasantburg Drive is at least one notch above this one.

Great food. Pitas were fresh and fries were great. Taziki sauce was great. Atmosphere could stand to be cleaned up and decorated a bit, but you’re not coming for the décor when you get a pita here.

Hard to find a good gyro place in the area. Doesn’t compare to the places up north, but we take what we can get in Greenville. I will always come back though.

Ate here for mid afternoon meal. Absolutely outstanding. Will definitely come back. Can’t say enough. I would give 10 stars if I could. Staff was very friendly and nice to my 11 year old daughter. She loved her meal as well, those who have kids, will appreciate that statement.

Praise the Lord and pass the tahini! There’s jamb-up falafel in Taylors, folks! I’m always sniffin’ out international fare in unsuspecting places, and Pita Grille has emerged as a regular lunch favorite on my rotation. Honestly, I haven’t ventured very far beyond their Falafel Sandwich, ’cause it’ll make you wanna schlap yo grandma it’s so good. Crazy good. You’ll be warmly greeted by some big ol’ hunks of fresh-fried falafel wrapped in a pita with lettuce, tomato, onions, and a tangy Mediterranean dressing, then you’ll be asked to kick of your shoes and stay a while by some fantastic seasoned fries. It’s like coming home from a lifetime of aimless wandering — great comfort is found in the falafel’s embrace, brothers and sisters. I’m not ready to say this is the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth or that the experience/environment is all-world, but this is an outstanding lunch establishment. It’s a bit bare and clinical inside, but at least it’s very clean. It’s probably not a good choice for sitting around at length on date night, but a quick bite could be thoroughly enjoyed by all at Pita Grille. Go gitcha a pita!

The Hummus was so yummy! And the fresh pita was great. The two workers were very friendly and very helpful. So much food and at a great price.

Traveling through town and stopped by. Enjoyed the food and service. This is not a fancy place but definitely on the cleaner end with nice attentive people. They filled the plate until it overflowed so no skimping on the food here! OUTSTANDING

I had a very good gyro at Pita Grille for 5.99 with fries. If you like gyros, give it a try. I can’t imagine that there is a much better gyro in town. I went for lunch on a Sunday and the service was pretty slow. However, the staff was very friendly. I will definitely go back sometime.

Family and I made a trip here last night after football game, after reading reviews here on Unilocal I had high hopes and was super excited to sink my teeth into homemade hummus, warm pita bread and Gyro meat… first off let me start by saying the owner was super friendly, he was the only one there and had a pretty full house for 9 pm… with that said the whole experience went down hill from there… I made my way down to use the restroom to wash my hands and caught a glimpse of the kitchen!!! .Gosh…Gordon Ramsy and Robert Irvine would have a heart attack! I mean I get it, it was late at night and poor guy was the only one there but I promise you that kitchen looked like it hadn’t had a good cleaning in years! Sadly we had ordered our food and the gentlemen was working hard to get it out to us as quickly as possible, what we really wanted to do was cancel the whole thing and leave… I didn’t have the heart… we did have some hummus, warm pita and gyro meat. Hummus was good and the pickles was a nice touch on top. The gyro meat however tasted like something you would purchase at the grocery store… no authentic spit in sight, it all went down like nails just thinking about the kitchen, it took everything inside of us not to up chuck! Sadly I will never step foot here again!

We live a couple miles from here and frequent this place for take out. Everything we’ve ever had has been very good. The owner/chef provides excellent service and is always very friendly. Food orders have always been prepared in a timely manner, never waited more than a few minutes in the restaurant. This place is a staple in our house and will continue to be. Added bonus: they’re open on Sunday, which seems to be a rarity in the upstate.

Food tasted good, not excellent. For the price I will go back for another Gyro. It was satisfying. My best Gyro in Greenville was at the Greek Festival so far. Greek salad was not smaller in portion size and fair in taste. Needs more olives, feta cheese, or at least drop the price. Saw another person order tabouli-looked good? Restaurant premise needs some renovation or sprucing up!

I stopped by here on a Monday nite, when inside the man came out from the back and said sorry we are closed on Monday’s we are just here cooking for a catering job. He seen I was a little disappointed and asked me what I was going to order. He made me my gyro even knowing they were closed. This place has great customer service.

My wife and I each had a gyro sandwich, best we’ve had since leaving Chicago. Very fresh and the meat was very tender.

Just checking back in to say I still love this place. A change in my routine had kept me away for too long. Just went back and wish I hadn’t stayed away so long! Got the Greek mix. Delish :)

Ah, yet another place in the Greenville area which has let me down in the gyro department. I am starting to suspect that I may have unrealistic expectations for my favorite Greek sandwich. I am not saying that Pita Grille is bad, but I don’t think I would get a gyro here again. First off, what the heck is with all these places cutting the pita into triangles? This just seems strange to me, as I would prefer the pita to be intact. The good news about pita grill is that they actually give you a decent amount of gyro meat for the price, relative to other places in the area. Unfortunately, I suspect they do not make the meat in-house and purchase Kronos meat. We did not spot any sort of spit or rotisserie device. I also did not care much for their tzatziki sauce. as it was a little too yogurty and not enough cucumber. However, I will say that I greatly enjoyed my Greek Salad and the dressing was absolutely fantastic. Their fries are the battered kind and were pretty good as well. Service was good, as our food was hot and came out fairly quickly. I did not try any of the more traditional Mediterranean dishes, which is perhaps where I went wrong. I may give this place another try for something besides gyros.

We went back after a month and this place is still fantastic!!! We ordered a few different items on the menu and they were great. We got the tabouli and hummus again and they were just as good as the first time. We also tried the greek salad which was very good as well. My daughter ordered a small pepperoni pizza and she loved it. I tried it just to see and the crust was amazing. We love this place and it will definitely become a regular spot.
