I don’t come here very often as it isn’t in my town, but this is definitely my favorite video game store in the area! A lot of the games they sell are extremely fair-priced compared to what you see in major retailers such as GameStop and 2nd& Charles. They’ll be asking(including the tax) around $ 33 for the Mario Party games on the Nintendo 64. If you go anywhere else, they’re around $ 40 – 60. Over the past year and a half, I have noticed a lot of cartridge games are going bananas on price! Ouch… I’ve picked up a lot of my retro gaming needs here. It may not have the«best» selection sometimes, but when they carry good games in they sell really quickly! Most of the more valuable games for older systems are placed inside the glass case near the register. I have always enjoyed visiting the Cavern and plan to do more visits in the future.

Went into the cavern twice while visiting family in SC. First visit wasnt so great. Brought my little cousins in to show them old games and help me pick some stuff out. Wasnt really helped or greeted by the guy working there, didnt seem like a «fun» environment like many other retro shops I have been to. I went back again to pick up some other titles and there was a woman and younger guy that were much more helpful. The first impression wasnt the greatest but they had good prices and a nice selection of games so I will go again.

These guys are incredible, if your looking for a place to take in those old video games you can’t play this place in unbeatable, they have a great selection and give you the most for what you have in your house collecting dust, prices are fair and so are the trade ins! They have everything from vintage gaming to brand new titles, I just went in taking about 15 of my old games that i no longer play, a guide I had no use for, some Nintendo 64 accesories and got 102 dollars in instore credit! Try getting that from gamestop and you will be laughed out the store! One of my favorite stores so far, friendly customer service, great game selection, and even carry some of the older systems, going in again in a few days to pick up some more titles! Would suggest this place to anyone in the state! The only thing I can really complain about is not having the great stock of ps3 and wii rpgs but I can understand not many come in, I’m happy with the ones I ordered, super excited!

Cool place for used video games and old video game systems. They have tons of old games in a retro section. Prices are very reasonable. They had a game cube and lots of Atari games for sale toward the back of the store. Newer video games and Wii games up front. Staff seemed helpful and knowledgable.
