My husband was admitted for rehab at Care One in February following a hospitalization for a serious chronic wound in his lower leg. Everyone from the administrators to the nursing staff, aides, and dining staff(too many to mention by name) all delivered exceptional care with great empathy which made my husband’s stay as pleasant as possible. In addition the twice a day physical and occupational therapy was outstanding resulting in getting my husband ambulatory again. Unfortunately he has suffered a setback requiring another hospitalization, but we look forward to returning to Care One and its excellent staff in the near future. With gratitude Vera Horowytz

Run don’t walk away from care one. My aunt had a recent stay and the social workers and doctors were uninterested in providing outstanding care. Nurses seem to be the exception but have a difficult environment to work in and get things done. Again, run don’t walk away from the facility!

The staff, esp. the aides and therapist are marvelous. One problem, however, is that the bathroom doors are not handicapped accessible for a wheelchair. This is strange for a rehab facility. The second aggravating problem is that, if your insurance is good, they will harass you endlessly to stay longer. They get creative, will try anything to keep u there.

great place, my aunt was here. Had no idea they were kosher but the food ended up being really good. And it was healthy for her. Therapy was intense which was just what she needed and all the nurses were very nice

PLEASEDONOTADMIT A FAMILYMEMBERHERE!!! This was the most horrific experience I have ever had with a skilled nursing facility, and I work with nursing homes routinely as a professional in case management. The level of incompetence is beyond anything you might imagine. My family and I had to deal with this facility not once, but twice unfortunately because my mother was sent there directly from Holy Name hospital, which is right done the street. The second admission was worse than the first and my mother was weaker and less capable at discharge than when she went in. The social work staff are completely without knowledge empathy, or ambition to do anything related to discharge planning. The nursing staff are unprofessional, untrustworthy, and dishonest in there charting and patient care information. The physical therapy staff do little to engage patient’s in rehabilitation therapy and put patient’s at risk for re-injury which is exactly what happened to my mother. Overall, this place is all about taking insurance money, and private payment without giving anything more than the bare minimum of care, if that. I could go on and on with the horror story but I am so sickened by the thoughts I must stop. I just want to spare any other family from enduring what we did.
